Here is a few flaws: The background image and the header are pixelised.If probably happened when you changed the color. Try to redo the image editing operation but be carefull not to set the image quality too low when you save them. Also, this is something that was also present in the template, the footer text is duplicated (in bold white and in the regular text color) and is misaligned. I would also set borders in the CSS for the boxes in the footer since the comment “laughmaster @ Did Your Horoscope Predict” overlaps the box.

Finaly here are two suggestions to improve: First, have the categories show up on the top bar as well as the sidebar, it will make your site easier to navigate. Also, change the permalink structure of your site, this will get you more traffic from search engines.

To do so, go to your site’s Dashboard, then go to Settings -> Permalink. Select Custom structure and type: “/%category%/%postname%/”. This will make nicer urls.

It’s a pretty cool job. The only thing I would change is to make the main area longuer or the sidebar shorter. However, if you change the max number of tweets to 3 like you said, it should solve it. Great job ??

If you were to change only one more thing, maybe change the font color of the header image to a color used somewhere else on your site like purple.

I would suggest incorporating images in your header or in the main background, to make your site look less generic. I also agree with the previous comment about the sidebar since it looks really empty on long posts, try to find something to put there, maybe excerpts of your feature posts, image advertisements of your favorite posts, etc.

Overall, I think it’s a good start, but you will need more tweaking to make your site stand out and have it’s own personal feel.

The one thing I would suggest is to have individual pages for your images, so people could post comments on them.

Yeah it’s a bit slower. It’s likely because this one is more image heavy than the other one. It’s still acceptable, but it is slower than the other one. A solution would be to switch webhost to a faster one, but I don’t think it’s bad enough to make the viewer walk away. If it does get slower when you add more content, you should consider moving to a new host.

It seems pretty fast on my side. It might just have been a temporary server slowdown or maybe your browser, you can always ask for more feedback. It seems fast on my computer anyway ??

You could also use elance to find someone to do it. But I would greatly suggest trying to do it yourself, through tutorials. It’s a really good skill to have as it will allow you to customize your site even further. ??

Yeah, it’s not necessary to have a side bar right away, but it will be usefull when you’ll have more content on your site.

Which theme are you refering to? And do you have a link to your site so we can tell you if it’s isolated to your pc?

I really like it. The only thing I would change would be to make it wider so it looks better on larger screens. I would say large enough to put a 4th featured article on the main page.
