In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Player not showingHi Angelo, i don’t have mu-plugins folder i don’t believe. The only thing it says is an issue in “Diagnostics” is ” Your Php is running in CGI mode.”
Other than that, I can see two issues, one with each theme. First, no matter what, Argent will not post a powerpress player. Not on blog, or home. Not with all plugins, or none. I have yet to succeed in embedding a player even after everything has been stripped down with no other programs or modifications.
Which brings me to the second issue… I actually was able to get the player uploaded in TwentyFifteen but wasn’t able to see it at first because of a shortcode i was using that shows the blog posts on my home page which remains “static” in the customizer.
So I need to find out why Argent isn’t allowing either their built-in “add media” option nor the powerpress option. Additionally, if that shortcode which is enabled by a plugin (Post in Pages) will not work with powerpress, then I will have to find some other way of showing my blog posts on the home/front page.
So all in all, it looks like the main problem is the Argent theme, since I cannot upload audio in anyway to any pages.
Thank you

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Player not showingHi Angelo, I tried TwentyFifteen but the result is the same. You can go to Jamiedew.com to see it in the new theme. Also, I don’t know if this sheds light on it or not, but even the add media option, not through powerpress/blubrry, doesn’t work. This may indicate (although this is definitely your field of expertise and not mine) that something other than powerpress and its interaction with WP/Argent theme is the problem. Thank you

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Player not showingYep, I am just trying to have it appear in my posts but it does not display the player on the posts/blog page. It only will display if I embed it in a page. And yes I checked powerpress settings and it is enabled. And yes it even says the media is verified, but it just turns into plain text in the post.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Player not showingI have uninstalled the all plugins and it has no effect. It simply will not embed the player when I make the post, either through “add media” or through powerpress blubrry. It will show up if I add the media to a page, but it only shows the following when I “post.”
https://jamiedew.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/RF_Podcast_Does_Studying_Literature_Produce_Atheism_20151.mp3 Podcast: Play in new window | Download
It doesnt show the player
So, I have confirmed it isn’t the plugins, and it shouldn’t be something weird with the theme since it is a pretty standard theme (argent).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Player not showingHi, I am having this same issue and none of the “having issues” options work for me. It just has the text, and you can’t click any of it for the podcast. Any help would be appreciated!
My website is Jamiedew.com

In reply to: [Argent] Front page header resizeHey! Ok so I just tried putting that code into the “editor” instead of the feature that reads “custom css” and it worked! I don’t know why Custom CSS doesn’t do anything for me but I believe the Editor(through Jetpack i guess) is doing everything that i wanted the Custom CSS to do. Thanks!
So now all I have is a quick follow up question, do you know how to make it affect all the pages and not just the home page? The other pages’ headers dont seem to be connected to the home/front page one

In reply to: [Argent] Front page header resizeThanks Jose! And yea I think the problem is with my Custom CSS feature. I copied your code into it, as well as others which would make obvious changes and nothing has yet to change on the actual site. (I feel like even if I wasn’t using correct syntax, etc i would at least see some kind of change, even if it was an undesired one). But in the past week of trying to change certain aspects of my site using code, nothing has been actualized on the site.

In reply to: [Argent] Front page header resizeOk so I am very sorry to be “that guy” by posting three straight times but I think I have just realized that my Custom CSS is not even working at all. I have tried obvious and simple codes and nothing is taking affect. So I say this to 1) shed light on why maybe Jose’s suggestion didn’t work for me and 2) to ask you guys to help me troubleshoot as to why my custom css doesn’t work and doesn’t make changes to my site. Thank you, and I apologize for the posts

In reply to: [Argent] Front page header resizeSorry, not sure why it didn’t show up. It is “jamiedew.com.”
Also, I appreciate the help Jose! But no matter how I crop the image it doesn’t actually change the size of the image on the page, it only changes how “zoomed in” it is, per se.
I just don’t want the entirety of the front page to essentially be covered by an image, especially since my blog posts are going to show there.
I already too much white space in between the image and the text because I hid the page title (like “about” and “home”) and it just leaves a big white space there. So if i could greatly decrease the height of the image it would be awesome. Thank you!
