Just to add, there is a 1 pixel bottom-border line below the site-branding, that jumps with the site branding on page load.

I could deal with the jumping if I have to, but if so, how to make that 1 pixel bottom border (on the site-branding) go away.

Hopefully there’s someone out there who understands and is willing to take a moment to help with my CSS.

If not, at least thank you for reading this far.

    Hi Stilman Davis,

After a couple hours, and reading your response again, it finally made sense.

By putting a div id in a ‘custom html’ footer widget, I can link to the footer.

Now, all I need to do is figure out how to eliminate the blank space the widget takes up; so it goes un-noticed.

Thanks for the solution. It gets me 95% of the way there.

Thank you for taking a moment to respond.

I’m not a coder, but know enough to (most of the time) follow others’ paths before me.

Do you know where I could place the custom html, without changing core theme files?

As mentioned I’m running a child theme with modifications to a couple files in there.

Where could I place an id div tag, and what would it look like?

    Thanks again,
    Matt
