It’s not working, Shane… What I did was I created a .htaccess file because there was none on my local wordpress installation directory. I added the code on the file and saved it. Then I changed permalink /index.php/%category%/%postname%.html to /%category%/%postname%.html but still, a 404 error occurs. I posted a new file just to check, but it still fails. What have I missed here? Thanks a lot.

I have already sent wordpress a bug report (though I know this is not a bug) about my request for deletion or for any information on how to delete one…
I have desperately done that because there is no option to delete a plugin from their repository. But still, there is no response whatsoever on my request to delete the test plugin I have created.

Please, this is really necessary. I need to remove a plugin…
