The bottom line:

The KB Advanced RSS widget does work on url https://www.medworm.com/rss/userss.php?qu=PEDIATRICS&news=on with all default settings. THANKS!

However, the WP 2.2’s standard RSS widget does not work on the above url (the list of displayed links stalls). Somebody might want to look into the code wp-includes\rss.php code…

Hmm… what kind of bug I wonder? I have another instance of RSS widget that refreshes its content just fine (the feed url is: https://www.topix.net/rss/search/article?q=pediatrics). Could it be something wrong with the source of the first RSS feed (see the url two posts above)?

Hmm… but I did use that ‘code’ tab in a freshly upgraded (from a freshly installed 2.1.3) WP 2.2, with the default theme and no contributed plugins.
