I’m used to believing my own eyes. TranslatePress really behaved as I have described. I uninstalled the plugin because I cannot afford wasting time finding out the reasons of misbehavior of this buggy product.

However this did not resolve the problem (both by snippet and CSS). The frontend is absolutely the same.
