I’m working on a complete redesign of the plugin, and I plan to also redesign the framework upon which it is built, so there will be less scripts and styles.

I’ve tested it up to PHP 7.0.12 so far. I don’t have access to PHP 7.1.0 in the testing environment that i’m using, but i’ll test it as soon as i’m able to.
