In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Unknown user wrongfully claimed my side through WPMUDEVThank you Kris, I tried to connect the site directly and it failed, I installed the WPMUDEV plugin and it worked. The button on BLC now shows the mention “ENABLE NEW VERSION”, I tried to click on it half a dozen times and it didn’t work. I had a hunch Safari was the culprit I moved to Brave and it failed again. I moved to Chrome as a last resort, clicked and clicked and clicked on the blue button and… nothing. The button isn’t leading to any action at all. Sorry.
Hi Dan, fair enough. I’m currently reviewing the issue with someone with way more technical abilities than mine and we’ll get it solved. As an aside, in the meantime, 5.8.2 was installed and the heath status changed to “good” automatically.
Hi Dan, Thanks for getting back to me about this.
A. I placed the xmlrpc.php file at the root. Yet, visionarymarketing.com/xmlrpc.php seems to redirect to the website. To check things out I placed an identical .txt renamed version of the PHP file at visionarymarketing.com/xmlrpc.txt
B. I disabled all four redirections.

It seems the redirection to the English site isn’t working anymore as a result. A bit of a bummer. If your browser is set to English, you will be taken to the French site. This is utterly confusing. I’m not sure what did this. I tried to reinstate the redirections and it didn’t work either. Why on Earth is it so hard to set up a multilingual website with WP??!!
C. When I checked those redirections, they didn’t seem to work anyway.

Have a great weekendNot to worry Bob, you’ve tried and this is much appreciated.
Anyway, I think we may have something there with the xmlrpc issue.
The plugin developer mentioned something that may have to do with a language plugin issue. I do have WPML installed and the site is available in two languages, French and English.I have a redirection setup from visionarymarketing.com to /en or /fr according to the language of your browser. I need this because otherwise, only the English page would be shown to users.
As you mentioned the xmlrpc issue I checked the redirection set up and found this
https://snipboard.io/7hFY48.jpgI have a hunch one may have found the problem there.
Can I disable these redirections?
Without losing the main redirect from .com to either English or FrenchYours thoughts welcome.
Hi Bob, Thanks for your kind help.
I did reach out to them and couldn’t get a response other than me having at least one REST API working and this being sufficient. I had checked the Json link already and I can access the page without any problem. I tried and fiddle with the options and I tried to use the default API instead and it failed. Fortunately, I was able to switch it back on. Phew!…
Thanks for trying anyway I will get back to them once more and try my luck.- This reply was modified 3 years ago by Yann Gourvennec.
Thanks @erania-pinnera
Unfortunately no, I cannot see what the problem is otherwise I’d correct it right away. I suspect it must be a redirection going into a loop or something but I haven’t found anything in there to help me with that.
It looks like I’m going to have to live with this until the end of time.
Here’s the image you missed. HTH
https://snipboard.io/Z2oh4f.jpgThanks for getting back to me on this issue Bob,
I contacted the developer of my redirection plugin and here is his answer
“You have one working REST API route and that is sufficient.
The problems with the other REST API options have no impact on this issue.
If you have created a redirect that is affecting Jetpack then you will need to look at that redirect directly. Also, other things may redirect.
I will add that Jetpack support didn’t say where they are seeing the too many redirects error, or how it is impacting Jetpack. It would be easier for you to fix the problem if you knew what exactly is affecting Jetpack.”I do not know where to look. How could I find a redirection issue (a loop maybe?) amongst 3,467 redirects?
Can you pinpoint a particular URL as it appears you are seeing it at your end? In that case, I’d be able to correct it.
Hi @bruceallen I do have a redirection plugin. I went to the options panel and
indeed there are mistakes in there. Here’s the report
I will contact support and follow up on that. Thanks for your kind help.

Hi, of course I want this banner removed, it’s complete nonsense, there is no headline issue, I think it must be a bug (for it worked well before that). No outcome is expected at all. I just want the banner removed. It’s a bug.

In reply to: [AMP] Headline Accept/reject banner on AMP pagesHi James, my apologies, I will check with them. Before I do, would you recommend I reinstalled yours? In fact somebody in the team must have changed the AMP plugin behind my back. Could you please advise if this would be beneficial and whether I would retain my SEO and links.
Thanks in anticipation for your kind help
