In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Internal linking issue (internal links mess)Just so we’re understanding this issue correctly, your concern is the discrepancy in the ‘top linked pages – internally’ report in Google Search Console, correct?
yes, correct, my concern is about how google sees my website, I just thought maybe you may be familiar with such or similar issue.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Internal linking issue (internal links mess)@devnihil hello.
yes sure, screenshot what I’m seeing in Google Search Console in relation to the internal links see here.
Also, you said that “2. all posted jobs linked to the home page.” We reviewed the example page here and do see a link on the page located under the ‘Rockstar Games India’ that links to the homepage (see image here). Is this the expected behavior or are you trying to remove this link?
-> yes, this is expected behaviour
in the #2 I meant the following: When open https://gamingjobs.in/ in “Top linked pages – internally” report in Google console I see all jobs posted on my website linked to the home pageIn regards to “3. expired and even moved to trash jobs still links to categories”, can you please elaborate on the behavior you are seeing here?a
-> yes, sure
example with expired job: See here what I see in Internal links report for ths category https://gamingjobs.in/job-category/game-design-jobs/. On the screen you may see this link https://gamingjobs.in/?post_type=job_listing&p=1223, but in fact this job is expired.example with deleted job:the same category and the same screen as in the example above. Within linked pages you may see the following https://gamingjobs.in/?post_type=job_listing&p=1008, by the fact it leads to 404 page this is deleted job.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Mess with internal linkingHi @bindlegirl, yes sure.
Remark: to check internal linking I’m using the Links Report in Google Console
Can you please explain what you mean by “– all posted jobs linked to the home page
In the links report, I see that literally, each job created on the website links to my home page https://gamingjobs.in/. Additional problem is that already expired jobs are also still linked.
– all posted jobs links to each existing category”?
I have category: https://gamingjobs.in/job-category/ux-ui-design-jobs/ if you open the page there is only one actual job in this category. The Links report in google console shows this page has 1170 internal links. Example of internal links from GC: https://gamingjobs.in/?post_type=job_listing&p=1034 https://gamingjobs.in/?post_type=job_listing&p=1036/feed/ https://gamingjobs.in/job/bangalore-only-immediate-unity3d-game-developer/ – expired job from another category https://gamingjobs.in/job/business-insights-supervisor/ – an actual job from another category
What happens when you click on the job title on the job listings page?
the job page opens in the same tab
Have you tried re-saving the permalinks?
yes, did it a few days ago
but so far I don’t any change in the Links reportAlso, have you tried disabling other plugins and switching to a default theme to figure out at which point things get broken?
not yet, but I couldn’t figure out what the issue it looks like only one way to go
