I figured out the issue — the page builder (Divi) I had active on that page was apparently causing the conflict. Stripping the page of all content except the shortcode solved the issue.

I’ve gone ahead and added SMTP, but the reset password link still isn’t working. I’m still getting the exact same “Your password reset link appears to be invalid. Please request a new link below.” message.

I do not have any SMTP plugins installed.

I don’t think the issue is the email — the link sent appeared to be uncorrupted as far as I could tell and followed this format:

[siteurlcensuredbyme]/password-reset/?act=reset_password&hash=[hashremovedbyme]&user_id=[##]

I’m using Gmail, and tried copying the link and pasting it directly into the browser – that did not solve the issue.
