In reply to: Why oh why? Google ignores my Permalinks.Ok, so it would be best to make he page available at https://www.snapup.net and have a redirect from https://www.snapup.net/blog/ to the main page.
Is it true, that a short URL, ex. Permalink without …/blog/archives/… will work better with Google?
So there nothing wrong with my wordpress setup, its more a pagerank problem?

In reply to: Why oh why? Google ignores my Permalinks.Nice to ask and having already the first answers within hours ??
You’re right, you should maybe take a look at the “problem”:My Website is at https://www.snapup.net.
You will be redirected to https://www.snapup.net/blog/
If you google for a certain posting, like the newest one:
You’ll see that Google points to the main page. I’ve the Sitemap-Plugin installed.

In reply to: Has anybody a Blog-By-Email-setup??Hi Scorpiotaz,
really annoying problem, right?
Dedge was so kind and spent some time to check my blog, my settings and my mail-accounts and came to the solution that it’s not a wordpress problem but something that’s wrong with your provider who hosts your blog.I’ve asked my provider to check the configuration and remove all barriers so that blog-by-mail is working. As soon as I got an answer I’ll send you more information.
Be strong – blog-by-mail can be done.

In reply to: Has anybody a Blog-By-Email-setup??Dedge,
I download the postie-plugin, and tried all (!) of my different EMail-Accounts, POP3, IMAP, SSL … nothing worked.
I got these error-messages:Missing imagecreatefromgif Connecting to pop3.web.de:110 (pop3)) Mail Connection Time Out Common Reasons: Server Down Network Issue Port/Protocol MisMatch Ooops POP3 connect: Error [110] [Connection timed out]
For errortracking, it would be nice if someone, who has a working blog-by-mail setup, would try to access my emailservers. I would send login/password in a privat email.

In reply to: Has anybody a Blog-By-Email-setup??Thanks for the answer – I see light at the end of the tunnel ??
If you can Blog-by-Mail than it can be possible.I’m using a normal POP3 account (gmx.de) without SSL. I can easily check it with Apple’s Mail and regular settings for a POP3 Server.
Do you know any provider who provides free mail accounts that will work with wordpress?
I’m sending my email from my iBook, not from the phone – anyway, since WordPress is not able to connect to the Mailserver, I guess its a WordPress-Problem.
I really need this feature …
