After deactivating a plug-in, the screen settings button was visible. I selected False for Chunking, pressed Apply, and now my site shows only a white screen for all pages – on website and in admin. Awesome… now I really don’t know what to do.

I’ve tried de-activating all other plugins, deleting http access, modifying the php memory in wp_config file, but still can’t upload the video.

In the end, I had to get support from the DB administrators who concluded that Better Search Replace software has at least one bug in it. They were able to change the references after DB export, before DB import, and now the site is working fine. I will be looking for a more reliable solution than Better Search Replace in future.

Increasing max memory in the wp-config file also did not help.

Could it be a DB permission issue?

Hey @bjscott, when I click Post > Add Post, there’s no option to chose a full-width template. I think I got rid of this somehow when there were big images appearing on the rhs of screen. Similarly, @Mispion, I had already de-activated the clickable thumbnails. And sadly, the CSS doesn’t seem to change it at all.

My website is a private family site – I don’t mind giving you access, at least while I set it up, but how?

Hello Mr Daft Duke (if that is your real name!),

As you’ve no doubt guessed, I’m very new to wordpress, so I appreciate your help.

I think that I was trying to put the CSS into the parent theme. I’m not sure if I ever created a child, unless a new post is a child (I doubt it). If creating children is more difficult than a plug in, let’s try the plug in approach. I have downloaded the plugin, and see a new option in Appearance. I put the .post-info CSS code (above) into this, but the elements are still in the header.

If this at least the right approach, what is the correct CSS code?

The only other task I wish to achieve (as well as removing the date, comments and categories in the header bar), is to remove the empty left sidebar / margin or at least make it dynamically compresses to nothing when the browser or ios window is narrowed. Can you help with this – I started this issue in another post – is that a problem?

    Thanks.
