mmm… why don’t you keep it simple and do this:

<title><?php bloginfo('name');?> FOO <?php the_title(); ?></title>

That will output the post/page title no spaces, separators, nothing! And of course you will replace FOO with your own html separator.

I’m sorry i was not here to give you a hand on the first place i’ve been really busy this week.

Anyway, great! after reading the whole thread i see you have fixed it all by yourself. It is true that IE is a really headache but there will be always a fix for it’s issues.

Regarding the “hack” i’ve implemented in equiX, the ‘style_ie.css’ is only used (as an addition to the main one) when you acces the site from IE. So even if you delete the whole file it will still work. I’ve used hust to make the whole theme work teh same way in IE.

It’s amazing all the support you’ve received… i love the wp_community.

Does anyone knows how to get it working on the ttemplate system used in 1.5+?
Coz if youc reate a page tmeplate using this code, but your eplace the includes of header with get_header and get_footer functions it works fine but only displays pages when ordered by date ?!

IE sucks in all ways you can imagine, but IT IS NECESSARY to make your theme work in both engines coz there is a lot of people out there still using that crap, in my case i designed equiX with that in mind i know a lolt of people reading me using IE… for god sake check the stats! is 60/40…
So, i’ve try so hard to make it work on both of them and i think that untill people starts using ffox or IE gets standard compilant i will keep on it.

Totally agree on both of you, first of all as i said before and root also mentioned if it is released under a GPL then no link back or credit is required, the only thiong you need to do is release your work under the same license… if you don’t like this just use a cc or another license but stay out of Open Source.
And dawg, i think comments on the css help people to understand how the theme works, but yes the stupid non-sense comments are totally useless and should be removed.

It is a nice and clean template, i like it.

Actually this depends on the author, i’ve just releases a theme i’ve called equiX and it is made from scratch… not even from the classic template because it was my blogger design on the first place but now i’ve ported to wordpress using a lot of info taken from the codex and this forum…
License: If it is released under a gpl, like the one i made, you can use it and make a completely diferent version or just change the header image but no link back or atribution is required.
Of course that it will be apreciated if you leave the link to my site and you also give proper atribution to a possible modification but if you choose not to do it it is fine, if i’ve wanted to have credit i would have released it under another licence or even charge for it.
