In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Issue with venues displayUpdated: https://davidm517.sg-host.com
Weird… it now just shows “court 1” or “court 2”, etc.
At one point last week for the events table it was showing the venue like this:
“Club CDL – Court 1”
“Court 2”Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Issue with venues displayYea it worked for the first one but not any subsequent ones

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Issue with venues displayHey there. I did not solve it. I did a workaround by having to include club CDL in every single child name. Basically the venue structure would be
Club Name
-court 1
-court 2
-court 3Etc. but I have to set it up as
Club Name
-club name court 1
-club name court 2
-club name court 3I resolved this myself!
Looks like I messed something up big time – I think I had this working, I was inputting the results of the match like “3-1” in the t value, but I later went into configure and changed the T value to be called “Games” and now the tables all no longer show the results. I changed it back to “T” hoping it would fix all the shortcodes for results, etc. and it no longer works.
To add a layer of complexity, this squash league also has a point scoring system, where, for each match, players receive points as follows:
Won Match = 3 points
Lost Match = 1 pointThere is a way to configure this as well, I believe – I have tried this here:https://lnp.jbl.mybluehost.me/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Screen-Shot-2021-12-09-at-2.14.51-AM.png (on the bottom)

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Squash league possible?I think I figured it out, I had to manually remove the ‘team’ part of the text from the shortcode, now the players appear: https://lnp.jbl.mybluehost.me/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Screen-Shot-2021-12-09-at-1.45.19-AM.png

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Squash league possible? Thanks so much Roch, you are very kind and patient.
I have setup my seasons this way – however, when I add the sports press shortcode for an event list title “Men’s B” – its still empty: https://lnp.jbl.mybluehost.me/fixtures-results/ (bottom of page)
I am not sure what I am missing here!

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Squash league possible?Ok … match day…. I am getting closer
However, when I set my Men’s B events to match day 1, and I use the insert shortcode–I am getting 0 results:
Shortcode: https://lnp.jbl.mybluehost.me/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Screen-Shot-2021-12-07-at-10.31.00-AM.png

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Squash league possible?Hrmmm…You are onto something here, just not sure I follow.
Now I have separate ‘leagues’ which represent Men’s A division, Men’s B, etc.
When I create an event, I can select a league/division. However, I still need to schedule only TWO players for a single match.
However, I am ultimately looking for a summary that follows something like:
Match Night 1 (Dec 8th)
– Men’s A
– Player 1 vs. Player 2
– Player 3 vs. player 4
– Player 5 vs. Player 6
– Men’s B
– Player 1 vs. Player 2
– Player 3 vs. player 4
– Player 5 vs. Player 6So on and so forth… This way, if someone went to the website they could click on “match night 1 dec 8th” and see a summary/list of all matches to take place on that night.

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Squash league possible? Thanks @rochesterj
This makes sense however… I am not seeing where I distinguish (in Sportspress) an event vs. a competition. I can create an event which is a single match (Player A vs. Player B) and it seems all I can really tie this to is a ‘League’ or ‘Season’.
If that is the case, would need to create ‘leagues’ for each and every division? Men’s A League, Men’s B League, etc.
Thanks for the reply. Admittedly, I am still confused.
I though with this system I could say that a ‘try’ (rugby score) is worth 5 points – conversion worth 2 and drop goal worth 3.
Then when I say a player scored a try, or if a team scored “5 tries” it would do that calculation automatically?
