  • Wow, that’s some pretty silly stuff.

(But technically, they are correct – the spam laws seem to focus on electronic mail, and not publications. Perhaps I’ll pass the question on to my lawyers.)

    You know what this means?

We hit them with a heavy dose of SpamVampire. >:3

So, wherever did this hack go? I saw Oekaki, and had a literal joygasm, especially with Shi-Painter being mentioned. I would literally rip out my current Oekaki solution (Bah! at OekakiPoteto!) to replace it with this, if I could get my grubby little paws on it. ??

‘edit this’ only appears if you are logged in, and are the user that wrote the post, in general.
Your site viewers won’t see this for their perusal, but if you really want it gone:
    Edit /index.php:
    Find:
    <?php edit_post_link(); ?>
    and delete it.
    Hope this helps,

    Welllllll…
the 4-27 nightly apparently fixes categories again. Let’s just see what it’s broken instead. ??

-Ahaha, I was thinking of the old categories tag – they just recently introduced this _e(‘blaaaah!’), and I haven’t memorized it yet. As a result, my old templates use the tag I mentioned looking for.
    Complete and total reflex. ??

It’s nice to see another switcher. ??
And in general, many of our forum users are willing to help whenever they can. ??
I happened to find that answer on my own this morning, after installing a nightly to a fresh location, for testing purposes.
Though it doesn’t use Nice URIs like I like it to, it will at least tide me over until they release a fix in another nightly. ??
Hopefully, you’ll enjoy your flight on WordPress Airlines, and come fly with us again in the future. ;P

I noticed how this covers books, movies, and music…
However, I’m a gamer, as well, and don’t want to mix games into the DVDs / Books / CDs.
Unfortunately, my coding skills are double-extra-super-mega limited, in the sense that I wouldn’t know how to modify it to add a category for video games.
Would this be added in a future version (or) Would there be anyone capable or willing to add this to the script and/or show me how?

I had the problem of the hack file not working a while back, since I had been running CVS from 0.72 onward (I still do run CVS). Odd as it sounds, you might actually want to have a look in the database, under wp_options, and see if there is more than one instance of hack_file there.
I had four or five of them, and WordPress couldn’t do anything with it. Delete all but the lowest valued one, and things should return to normal, if this is the case.
    Hope this is useful.

    Questions for ya:
Do users that become registered have to be a certain level to comment?
And, though they are registered, I don’t want them to have access to even see my options panel. Is there a way out of this?

I use Firebird. That extension’s been sorta… obsolete to me.
    https://www.pixelechoes.net/albums/soft/not_correct_susubh.jpg as proof.
As per the Christmas theme… if it’s the one I just saw, I can’t see a thing on it. Red + just about any other color becomes something I can’t see.

Clearly, I’m out of my league.
I would use get_archives(weekly,,option) if I wanted to override the default, and have a dropdown list for my archives, on a weekly basis? or would I have to manipulate the function directly (which is not optimal, as I use CVS builds)?

You’ll want to run wp-admin/update-072-to-073.php from your browser. New feeps were added, and this handles ’em.
    Enjoy. ??

Readin’ all that, I’m beyond a bit confused, but I do see a lot of MySQL things there. Could this be causing some of the confusion?
Also, (for something I can understand), backing up your databases… why not do complete dumps of them? Even phpMyAdmin can dump them all into one file – I did this to back up some of my other stuff. ??

LaughingLizard, that didn’t work for me.
It closed my pings and comments when posting with w.bloggar, despite my defaults being as open for both. However, posting with Zempt didn’t result in this problem.
I’d be interested in seeing this client of yours, once you release it, though. ??

My weblog’s current name (Eau Salée Lunaire) is the rebirth of my Livejournal (Saltwater Moon). The names hold very similar value to each other. I asked a French-speaking friend to help me with the name, since the last time I truly spoke the language with any frequency was about four years ago.
Eau Salée Lunaire comes from a couple of sources:
I have an affinity for the moon that borders on an obsession (sidenote: If you have any really good pictures of this month’s Lunar Eclipse, and are willing to let me have a couple, without charge, for use in a new ‘blog layout I’m planning, I’d be grateful!).
I also have a song in my playlist called “Saltwater” (Chicane, feat. Maire Brennan of Clannad) that I love. Putting the two together worked for me as a sort of theme, because it matches my personality quite well.
This, and I like some semblance of continuity with my changes. ;P
