xGen TeamHello Julie,
First of all thank you for using our plugin and posting a review for the same. The plugin is working properly as we have tested it first before releasing it. Following are our comments:
First I noticed that the plugin doesn’t work right off the bat. Even if one wants to use the default settings, one must navigate to the settings screen, save them (even though no changes are made), and then the plugin works. The default settings should automatically work…
Comments: Yes we will make this change and incorporate in our next versionAlso, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the 4th column to appear. I’ve got columns for the Install, Last Activated, and Last Deactivated dates, which is great. However, there is no way to get the Latest Update date out of the Description column and into a column of its own, as far as I can tell. This would be far more useful — having the Latest Update date in the Description column isn’t very legible. The eye is used to scanning columns then must sort through a bunch of info just to find this last piece of the puzzle. I’m hoping I just haven’t figured out the right setting, but it doesn’t seem like it at the moment…
Comments: There is an option to show the fourth column in description and not as separate column and it depends on the user requirement whether they need separate column for it or they don’t. We got mix responses from our client so we kept the latest updated date in description section. We will keep a note of it though.Another thing is that the Last Activated and Last Deactivated columns don’t display any info — I’m assuming this plugin needs to be active in order to collect and save that data in the first place. Is that right? If so, then that makes sense ??
Comments: Yes the plugin should be active to keep track of different activities. And lastly, the Install date isn’t always accurate — in some cases, it is displaying the date on which I applied an update rather than the date of actual installation. I can confirm this because the Last Update date is the day before the Install date. But in other cases the install date is correct, so I have no clue what could be causing this.
Comments: Installation date information is taken from File(s)/Folder(s) property i.e. installed date or modified date so when a file is replaced the installed date property of the respective file/folder changes.I’ve also noticed that the time doesn’t display correctly anywhere, meaning that it’s not in my timezone. Using either e or T in the time display gives me the correct time zone (EDT), but the actual time is displayed in UTC. I’ve double-checked both Settings –> General and php.ini and both are set to the correct city. Is there anything else I can check to get the time to display in my timezone?
Comments:Kindly explain your concern by giving a example for better understanding.Forum: Plugins
