In reply to: 2.2 Upgrade Changed the Default FormattingI found my problem. Traced it to the embed code for a LiveLeak video clip. I used the generic embed code, not the code listed for blogs. Once I did it correctly, all the Firefox formatting came right back into place!

In reply to: 2.2 Upgrade Changed the Default FormattingI just went from 2.1.2 to 2.2.1. I use FireFox and my formatting went out the window. After reading around these posts, I did pull it up in IE and it looks fine, so it’s something to do with how FF sees things.
Basic issue: Using a three column widgetized theme, now the first several posts are fine, but it appears when you get to the “older posts” break, the next post has wrapped up on the right, at the top of the sidebar. No left sidebar appears, until you scroll down a long way.

I checked and do have the most recent version of the theme (3/2/2007).
Help appreciated!

In reply to: Manage->Export not showing up in upgraded installI deactivated the Random Quotes plug in I was using by Dustin Barnes, just on a hunch, and the “Export” item appeared.
Conflict in the formatting with the plugin. His website says he’s working on a version for WP 2.x.

In reply to: updated server to php5 and permalinks don’t workOk…There must be some change in PHP5 that causes the permalinks to quit functioning. I first got my heads up from a regular reader who said he couldn’t comment anymore. I also, while trying to se what was up with the tweaking I did last weekend, that permalinks didn’t function, either.
I dug for three days and when I read this thread, realized I had changed from PHP4 to PHP 5 last weekend via my hosting site. I switched back to PHP4 and instantly the permalinks and the comments were working properly.
Answer: Revert to PHP4 until 5 gets fixed….
