Hi kiwiheretic,
Can you confirm which plugin you are evaluating? WP RSS Aggregator is free, but it’s extensions are not, so it is important for us to know which product you are dealing with.
Also, if possible, please provide a URL of the feed itself, as well as a URL of the page with the wrong links.
Hi amview,
I am getting “This is a valid RSS feed” from the W3C Validator. Please verify that you are using the same URL.
On the other hand, a feed does not absolutely have to validate in order to be parsed correctly. Are you experiencing any issues using WP RSS Aggregator?Hi Army,
WP RSS Aggregator imports feed items’ date based on the offset that is provided in the feed, and displays the date based on the general WordPress time zone. In your case, considering the item with slug justin-williams-comments-after-winning-2014-stanley-cup, the date of the story is Sat, 14 Jun 2014 06:14:03, which seems to be exactly what is displayed on the frontend. Can you definitely confirm that the timezone selected in Settings > General is not UTC+0?
Also, please make sure that an actual city name e.g. “Los Angeles” is selected in the dropdown. Please get back to us if this does not resolve your problem.
Hi,
The base plugin allows to simply display items from aggregated feeds. To import items as local posts, you could try our Feed to Post addon. It’s page also contains a video, outlining the options it presents. Among other things, it is possible to assign the imported feeds to categories either by choosing a category for all items in a feed, or based on categories supplied by the feed itself.
If you are unsure whether or not this extension is right for you, you can read this dedicated post, or even test it live.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Hi Vladimir!
Up to now, there is no way to specify exactly which posts you want to import. However, using our Keyword Filtering add-on, you can set which items to import based on the words and phrases in their content or title.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Hi,
I apologise for the delay. Was swamped by support requests.
First and foremost, the original feed url is giving a 404. If you would like to receive further support on this subject, please make sure that the feed is available.
With regard to the validation, while I am not extremely familiar with the internals of the underlying parser, it should handle missing elements without an error. Also, if no author is provided for feed elements, WP RSS Aggregator will use the fallback author.Aside from the mentioned points, are you using any WP RSS Aggregator extensions? Is there a URL where I can examine the issues you discribe?
NextGEN Gallery 1.8.2 works with WordPress 3.2. Thank you.
Sorry, guys. Never would have thought that it’s in the “Developers” section.
Got your fix.
Yep.
Gotta revive this thread.
I see this.
