I have the same question as well. I tried putting a test email address on both ’email admin’ and ’email user’, but that did nothing.

I have similar problem when viewing on IE8. Some of the icons went missing, and getting javascript error on some of the posts. Can someone enlighten me on what the problem is regarding css?

Where can I send you the URL privately? The site is not public yet.

How do I restore the site back to the original state? I have deleted the new install at abc.com/wp, but now I can not even bring the admin console (abc.com/wp-admin) back – it seems to be pointing to abc.com/wp/wp-admin.

I have been trying to figure out whats wrong all day without any progress. After I set the ‘Site Address (URL)’ to https://w2.com, I added a new post, but it does not even appear on the main page (main page shows a list of posts starting with the latest). However if I change ‘Site Address (URL)’ back to https://w1.com/w2, the new post I just added appears on the main page. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? How do I make the site so that it shows up as https://w2.com/xxxx rather than https://w1.com/w2/xxxx?

I also want to point out that on my domain name setting, I have set:

https://w2.com to point to https://w1.com/w2

and https://w1.com/w2 is the root of my wordpress installation

I read thru the moving_wordpress link above, and I changed:

Settings->General Settings->Site Address (URL) to https://w2.com

and kept

Settings->General Settings->WordPress Address (URL) to https://w1.com/w2

Unfortunately this breaks every single link my w2.com – w2.com loads up fine, but clicking on any link there results in an ‘internal server error’. Before the change I was able to access the links without errors. What am I doing wrong?

Ok I found out that the plugin “jQuery Pin It Button For Images” was causing problems. After I disable this plugin, the tiled gallery now displays properly. This plug in is supposed to overlay a ‘pin it’ button on top of every image. I am suspect that it may be doing something that confuses the gallery display. I m curious if anyone know how I can get both to work in harmony?

I have, but they have not respond back. I am trying to see if there is anything I can do on my end. Anything else i should check?

I renamed the plugins folder but it didnt seem to help. I am still seeing the same screen when I try to go to admin console.

Another thing is I installed another wordpress on a different folder, and was unable to access to admin console on the 2nd installation (<site>/<wordpress2>/wp-admin) – will just say file not found. But the file (index.php) does exist.

How do I deactivate plugins and/or change theme when I can not even access the admin page?

Not hosted on crazy domains. I am using a small hosting company that I have been on for the past 3-4 years without any major issues.

Ok I am an idiot. Apparently my target email mailbox’ forwarding was not working, which is why I did not receive any emails. Problem resolved.
