Thanks Chad. The workaround is successful!

FYI, the issue occured even without moderated registration (no check in WP-Members, but also no check in “anyone can register” in general WP settings).

Thanks again for the quick response.

@janarthanmano your solution worked great for me (disable Plesk WAP). Simple as can be, no code, no muss, no fuss. 30 seconds and it’s done. Thanks!

    Hello again,

    I disabled WordFence, no change.

I then made a backup of the database and the entire website for good safety.

Without touching the database tables, I deactivated and deleted the ai1ec plugin, then installed and activated it again. The “upcoming events” widget and also “agenda view” on the calendar page are once again behaving as they should. (If they had not, then I would have repeated the steps, including deletion the “ai1ec_” options from the DB.)

Thanks for your assistance. Feel free to tick “resolved” finally. ??

I just noticed something interesting. In MONTH or DAY views (on the calendar page) all of the categories are displaying (as they should). In AGENDA view, I must select a category, and it will display events. As I select two categories, it will continue to display events, but if I select three, back to nothing displayed. It doesn’t seem to matter which two categories I select, if I select a third, it breaks. Since you can’t select any categories in the UPCOMING EVENTS disbar widget (as a user) I can’t test it there.

I tried adding “preselected calendar filters” in the settings (counter to the advice) and get the same result. Everything shows in the MONTH or DAY view shows, with the red “X” in categories (to clear the filters) in any view, including AGENDA, which still isn’t showing any events events, nor is UPCOMING EVENTS widget.

I have since removed those default filters, as was the original advice anyway. Awaiting your feedback. Thanks!

    Hi SunnyLal,

Thanks for sticking with the issue, but perhaps I am not communicating the problem effectively. I do indeed know there are multiple ways to display the calendar. I am using the “Calendar Page” (#1) and the “Upcoming Events” widget (#3). I am not using shortcodes or a SuperWidget. I also take advantage of the filter possibilities as appropriate (great feature!).

A picture is worth a thousand words, so please have a look at thie “special” page I made to illustrate the problem and show the actual settings where suggested.

Also, would you mind holding off on ticking “resolved” until confirmation that it is resolved? As a support engineer myself, I typically at least wait for a response, only closing it without such after an opportunity to provide it. Thanks!

    Thanks for the quick reply.

No, I have not fixed it. On front page in the “upcoming events” sidebar Widget it says “no upcoming events” and on the calendar page, “agenda view” shows no events although there are lots of events in the calendar. I have checked using MSIE, Edge and Chrome on one PC and Safari on an iPad. Same results on all.

I checked the “default calendar start date” in the settings and it is currently blank (nothing to delete). Just to be thorough, I even put a date in there, saved, then deleted it and saved again. No change.

    Any other suggestions?
