In reply to: [Theme My Login] Update FailedIt all went haywire when I installed the update. I’ve been using the old stand alone tmp for a while. I tried to restore it back to the prior version to get it working again but never did. I think it’s some kind of conflict, perhaps with the youtube extension which is the only other change I’ve made. Ultimately, I gave up on the themed profile as it just renders a blank page.

In reply to: [Facebook] Security IssueI’m getting the warning front and back. I’ve also noticed in Chrome it doesn’t show the number of likes. In IE if I do not select Show All Content, again the Likes do not appear.
My site runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 64. I’m a MS Partner and developer on the MS platform since 1995, but I’m new to WP and php.

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Disable "View Comments"I installed the new Fb plugin version and it DOES NOT respect the allow comments checkbox feature. It’s really nice except it doesn’t integrate properly with Word Press. Why you guys cannot seem to make it function properly is beyond my ken, especially considering version 1.2 handled this simple feature with no issues! Though I’m new to php, I’ve been developing for the MS platform for 15 years, so I understand what’s involved.
Rolling back to 1.2 and staying. I’m tired of installing and rolling back.

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Disable "View Comments"I installed the latest release and it didn’t. If I left it checked it showed the Fb comments, unchecked it showed the default comments below the Like button and Rec bar.

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Disable "View Comments"Any plans to fix the bug which prevents hiding the comments box on selected pages? I’ve posted about this issue several times and there have been several update releases but none which addressed this issue.
I also tried using the Facebook system to eport the bug, but that was just frustrating.

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Disable "View Comments"I have copy of the v1.0.2. You would have to upload it to your plugins directory. [email protected]

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Disable "View Comments"BTW: here’s how to remove the “View Comments” link. It will require you to edit your theme’s content.php file. (It’s a good idea to make backup before proceeding.)
Open content.php. You should see line something like this:
'after' => theme_get_metadata_icons( 'category,tag,comments', 'footer' )
Simply remove the elements you don’t want. In your case comments. Also remove the comma–if there is one–separating the list of elements. And make sure you retain the single quotes.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Disable "View Comments"You should be able to disable comments on selected pages and posts by deselcting the Allow Comments checkbox on the edit page or post page. Unforunately, the current version of the facebook plugin doesn’t work with this feature. If you uncheck the box you get the default WP comments box below the fb Like button and rec bar. Even more unfortunately, the developers have shown themselves uninterested in addressing this issue. I rolled my fb plugin installation back to the 1.02 release in which this feature works correctly. That is only shows the fb social plugin if the Allow Comments box is selected which is the most desirable. I don’t need a like button or a comments on my support pages and Contact form. That’s just silly.

In reply to: [Facebook] Hiding comments on home pageI also found the disble comments on some posts or pages doesn’t work. No matter what I tried the comments box shows on all pages and posts. I rolled it back.
I’ve encountered more bugs than the Orkin man with this misbegotten pack of flawed code and designs.
If I enable the teaser text, I get a teaser with the Read More link on the odd numbered headlines headlines. The even numbered headlines have a Read More in plain text with a Read More link immediately below it and no teaser.
I get question marks instead of images. Additionally the headline text and for that matter all text titles are not correctly aligned with the background images and run off the bottom.
I was hoping to create a custom child theme off the mobile pace base, but is has more bugs than a beta copy of windows. It’s so bug ridden, in fact, it isn’t worth the effort. It fails the https://ready.mobi/ Word Press test miserably with invalid markup, slow load times and a legion of other issues.
I’m still looking for something worth the trouble of creating a child them based on. This certainly is not it!

In reply to: [Plugin: Jetpack] Admin-bar Stats image not showing upI have the same issue in all browser, IE, Chrome, FireFox, Opera. But when I select show image in new tab in Chrome I still get broken image. Would some be kind enough to tell me the image filename?
I have the same error.
