Thank you for showing interest in our plugin.
The plugin creates and uses its own tables in the WordPress database. Read the WP Security Audit Log plugin database documentation for a full explanation of the database setup and use.
I trust the above answers your question. Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to get in touch.

In reply to: [WP Activity Log] 3.1.4 ChangesHello @b-rad,
Thanks for showing interest in our plugin.
Failed logins and 404 errors are different. Let me explain:
1) In 3.1.2 we moved the failed logins log files to the database.
2) In 3.1.2 we also added some more restrictions in the directory where the log files of 404 errors are stored. Because of these restrictions we had to temporarily disable the downloading of log files from the audit log.
3) In 3.1.4 we re-introduced the downloading of log files of 404 errors from the audit log, though this is in no way related to failed logins log files.
For more information refer to these two documents:
How WP Security Audit Log keeps a record of WordPress failed logins
Keeping a log of 404 HTTP requests in a log file with WP Security Audit Log.I hope the above answers your question. Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to ask.

In reply to: [WP Activity Log] Plugin has disappeared from DashboardIt seems that another administrator on the website has restricted your access to it. In such case you can regain back access by deleting some entries from the wp_wsal_options table. You can delete the rows with the following option_name;
wsal-plugin-viewers
wsal-plugin-editors
wsal-restrict-adminsPlease let us now if the above helps you solve your issue.

In reply to: [WP Activity Log] Can’t deactivate or deleteThanks for the feedback @eyeghoti
In such case I guess the best option is to manually remove the plugin by following the below procedure:
1) Delete the plugin directory (\wp-content\plugins\wp-security-audit-log\
2) Delete the following tables from the WordPress database:
– wp_wsal_metadata
– wp_wsal_occurences
– wp_wsal_optionsThis should help you solve your issue. If there is anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to ask.
