Oh so it’s because the intl recommendation was only added recently? Got it!
I used the Query Monitor plugin which showed these PHP warnings when editing a post containing the USP shortcode:
is_file(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/en.js) is not within the allowed path(s): (<path-above-my-wordpress-install>) (Component - Plugin: user-submitted-posts) is_file() wp-includes/class-wp-editor.php:515 _WP_Editors::editor_settings() wp-includes/class-wp-editor.php:307 _WP_Editors::editor() wp-includes/general-template.php:3520 wp_editor() wp-content/plugins/user-submitted-posts/views/submission-form.php:112 usp_display_form() wp-includes/shortcodes.php:356 do_shortcode_tag() Unknown location preg_replace_callback() wp-includes/shortcodes.php:228 do_shortcode() wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:303 apply_filters('the_content') wp-includes/rest-api/endpoints/class-wp-rest-posts-controller.php:1792 WP_REST_Posts_Controller->prepare_item_for_response() wp-includes/rest-api/endpoints/class-wp-rest-posts-controller.php:550 WP_REST_Posts_Controller->get_item() wp-includes/rest-api/class-wp-rest-server.php:1140 WP_REST_Server->respond_to_request() wp-includes/rest-api/class-wp-rest-server.php:987 WP_REST_Server->dispatch() wp-includes/rest-api.php:495 rest_do_request() wp-includes/rest-api.php:2832 rest_preload_api_request() Unknown location array_reduce() wp-includes/block-editor.php:444 block_editor_rest_api_preload() wp-admin/edit-form-blocks.php:68 is_file(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/en_dlg.js) is not within the allowed path(s): (<path-above-my-wordpress-install>) (Component - Plugin: user-submitted-posts) <same as above>
I hope this is helpful!
Oh I see, thank you!
Nevermind, I was accidentally stripping query params for non-static pages too which was why that was showing up in page source code.

It doesn’t seem any of those apply to my code – is there a private way to share the website?

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Small typo in settings pageSorry, that typo was for the Updraft plugin and I got the posts mixed up!
The typo in the Jetpack plugin is in the Ads section of the Traffic settings tab:
“Connect your WordPress.com account to upgrade and generate income with high-quality adds.”
(Should be “Ads” rather than “Adds”)

The typo in the Updraftplus plugin is in the settings page email reports section in the following sentence:

I just tested it out and noticed that for repeat visitors who had already accepted the cookie in the past, a Google referral is correctly attributed. It’s only for first-time visitors accepting our site cookies for the first time that a Google referral shows up as direct traffic.
This article seems to be saying that this is a normal unavoidable side effect of any gpdpr plugin though:
However, a side effect of some of the settings of these plugins might include

Except for users who agree to be tracked, leave the site, and then come back within 30 days (this is the cookie limit for notice dismissal).
Hello,
I just found out that it was because I had set the page to reload after accepting.
Thank you
Oh I see, I never bothered to check my custom message. The reject shortcode appears to have been inserted into it in the 1.6.6 update – I didn’t think an update would modify a user-customized message.
Thank you
