Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Permalinks helpMore info:
We changed the URL of our site from something like wp.blank.com to blank.com and my sysadmin said the files didn’t move, but the URL now points to the new domain.
In the address bar, the site shows up as https://blank.com, which is good, but all other pages display as https://blank.com/wordpress/?p=125 (for example).
In General settings, I have:
WordPress Address (URL): https://blank.com/wordpress
Site Address (URL): https://blank.com/wordpressHow do I get my site’s page to display as https://blank.com/pagetitle? I know I can set the Permalinks, and have tried, but they are not working, and I’m thinking I need to change the General setting URL(s) first.

In reply to: Permalinks helpI found a web.config file and placed it in the root WP folder, then went back and edited the Permalink Settings – and nothing.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Child theme error: Broken Theme "Stylesheet is missing."Ok, thank you. I am back in the site now.
Then, what after that to get the child theme running?
Could the lines in the style.css:
/* Import layout */
@import url(“../themename/style.css”);
have caused the blank site and lock out? Should I remove them?

In reply to: Child theme error: Broken Theme "Stylesheet is missing."Thank you. I found one of the problems – I was calling it styles.css instead of style.css! That was corrected and uploaded.
Then, I was able to see the child theme as an installed theme, but when the child theme was activated, my site came up blank. Nothing. Now, I’m looking at a blank screen.
I was able to log back in.
Now what could the issue be?
