First off, thanks for the kind review. We really appreciate it!

Secondly, we think we know what needs to happen to make our plugin compatible with that gallery plugin, but I believe the code changes will need to happen on their side.

I’ve sent the plugin author an email and as soon as we hear back we’ll update the thread here. Thanks for using the plugin, and let us know if we can help with anything else!

That sounds like a good idea to me! We’re going to be releasing an update next week and I’ll make sure we improve the gallery style a bit before it goes out.

Hi Goutm,

You would need to turn Jetpack Carousel off to use WP Featherlight. Otherwise both lightboxes will be triggered like you’re seeing now.

There also aren’t any settings for our plugin. You just activate it and it works ??

We’ll do some testing on multiple galleries on a post or page and let you know what we find.

Ah yes, I understand now. We don’t currently have that feature as part of WP Featherlight. There are a few concerns that come to mind, like navigating on smaller devices, and going back to the original back if you view a full size image. There are some UX things that we’d need to figure out to implement something like that. Thanks for your input and we’ll consider adding something like that in the future. Thanks!

We don’t currently have support for Envira Gallery and don’t plan to include it either. We do have support built in for Jetpack galleries.

The main reason we don’t have plans to work with other gallery plugins right now is because there are so many, and the more that we add support for, the heavier and less performant wp featherlight gets, which kind of defeats our initial purpose for the plugin.

I won’t say we won’t ever add support for other gallery plugins, but it’s definitely not in our immediate plans.
