Would you please be so kind as to post your WPBB forum’s URL so that we may take a look??

In reply to: [HTML Landing Page] Can't get this to workHello, Halber,
Sorry for this belated reply.
I don’t know what each check-box is supposed to do. I just know that what I did worked for me. BUT…I think there’s actually a better solution than this plugin!!
Simply FTP your theme into your site’s main directory: YourWebsite.com/theme — and that’s all!!
This plugin gives us ugly SEO-unfriendly URLs (MyWebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/landingpage-templates/theme/) but the “natural” way using FTP lets you style your URL however you want!!! This is my preferred solution now.
Hope that helps, and apologies again for the delayed response.

In reply to: [HTML Landing Page] Can't get this to workIn my case, I had to check the “302 redirect” box.
We (both of us) had a lot of trouble getting in touch with (and then staying in touch with) Mr. Karim Rahimpur, the developer behind “Affiliates Pro.” So in the end, we used “Affiliate Royale” by Mr. Blair Williams, which also works through WordPress’ own interface, on another site of ours…yes, we like it. =)

In reply to: [WooCommerce] One Other Thing…Thanks for clarifying; “hacked” is the wrong word, giving the wrong impression: yes, WooCommerce has a built-in way to modify the plugin and keep the changes, so wonderfully “fire-and-forget-simple” that a year later I’ve even forgotten the details of what had been done!
No “hacking” is necessary…just follow the codex. About as close to having “child plugins” in WordPress as it’ll ever get!

In reply to: [Cart66 Lite :: WordPress Ecommerce] pain in the buttemuel,
There’s some documentation available for free on the Cart66 website, though it isn’t obvious: look under “membership resources” (yes, counter-intuitive). But there’s a 60-day money-back guarantee anyway so you really have nothing to worry about.
When we started with this cart last year for one of our sites, it was the only reputable solution with a proven track record that also allowed us to design our product pages exactly the way we want them.
Other plugins had a pre-existing product page layout that users were forced to adopt. Nothing bad looking, but they did clash with our existing visuals…through Cart66 we were able to maintain our original vision for the site — plus, it was simple to use. We got the Pro version and support’s been quick and thorough, with DIY customization advice when we needed something more unique!

In reply to: WP E-Commerce VS Shopp VS WooCommerce VS JigoShopjpmizell,
There won’t ever be a perfect solution because there are too many eCommerce situations out there for developers to account for…it’s like expecting Microsoft, for all their well-deserved ill repute, to be responsible for all the different PC configurations possible….
Best thing to do is to really understand the technological implications for your own eComm vision…so yes, if an Amazon or Google store works — if your business can really be simplified to that degree (and why not? That would probably be a blessing in disguise — administrative overhead is killerz), then go for it!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] [Plugin: WooCommerce] Slider not working on WootiqueAh…that was such a hassle to figure out for me, too!
In the end, the solution was to give the homepage welcome post its own category, then set within WooThemes’ theme options to hide this category from being displayed on the blog page.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] [Plugin: WooCommerce] Slider not working on WootiqueHi, stifmeister1976,
Thanks for taking a look! I’ve been puzzling this thing out myself for a while and I seem to have narrowed the matter down to two variables: 1) heavily taxed system resources and 2) Google Chrome. On my end, it appears that Google Chrome, under certain conditions of heavy usage, will screw up the jQuery involved in Wootique’s slider.
I’m not 100% sure about this, but it looks like that’s what’s happening. Thanks again for taking the time to take a look!

In reply to: [Ad Injection] Ads No Longer RotatingOkay, an update: turns out that the plugin Rotating Blogname is preventing Ad Injection from rotating ad units.

In reply to: [Ad Injection] How can I have I turn off the ads on a specific post? You should probably use the excellent “Dynamic Widgets” plugin…you can control exactly which widgets show up on which particular pages and posts!
My hosting account’s set for 128MB already but WooCommerce can only see 32MB of it! Any ideas why this is??
I’m not really using the cart functionality, though…my site’s more a “catalog” and not a “shop” so maybe the discrepancy doesn’t matter….
Okay, what’s finally worked for me is to remove
add_action( 'woocommerce_after_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_upsell_display', 15 );
from the woocommerce-hooks.php file…thanks for the “inspiration,” guys!
Um, hate to chime in here on a negative note, but I’m using WooThemes’ own Wootique with WooCommerce (actually, this theme needs WooCommerce installed) and there’s an issue with the up-sells (“You may also be interested in…”) being displayed twice — and the cross-sells (“Related Products”) being completely random no matter which products are set!
