Add another } at the end (after the last } ).

The one you think closes the if statement actually closes the foreach loop.

WordPress probably treats it as a new theme so it doesn’t append the menu you had to the registered menu you had it in.

Did you make sure that on the Appearance -> Menus under “Theme Locations”(top left) the menu you made is chosen in the select box?

1. Create new page
2. Go to Settings -> Reading
3. Choose “A static page” under “Front page displays”
4. In the “Front Page” select box choose the page you created
5. Save
