WHen i use automatic excerpt, it works but if there is content in the ‘excerpt’ field of the post it doesn’t.
anyone had any luck fixing this?

the way it is done in the plugin appears to be the recommended way to show only certain bits of the excerpt.

Hi, this seems not to work?
I am using WP 2.8, and no other plugins

have put htmlEditor = true
and don’t get the html tab showing

any ideas?

have exactly the same problem.
include_tree would be ideal.

I am also having this problem using wordpress 2.8.2

the subcategories stopped showing in the admin section category list, though if i searched for them they show up, or if i tried to remake them, it said ‘there are already categories with this name’. you are able to add posts to them, and on the site, posts in those categories show up.
However when i did wp_list_cats and did ‘show children of ‘1’ which used to list the subcategories, it gave the result ‘no categories’.
if i just did list all, it would show them, with all the categories.

i made a new subcategory and then they showed up again correctly in all places.

for me this was a clash with another plugin. when that plugin was switched off, wordtube views worked fine.

I am having the same problem on a newly installed wordpress 2.7.1 installation with wordtube version 2.2.
watching the whole of a video does not make the counter go up!

I have an older website with wp 2.7.1 and wordtube 2.1 and the counters work fine on that.

I found this information on the JW player website:

Though SWF files also load in the player, it is discouraged to use them. The player cannot read the duration and dimensions of SWF files and cannot control its volume or playback.

SO although wordtube lists swfs as playing using wordtube, it seems they don’t work properly!

i have made it work by doing the following 2 things:
1. open /wp-content/plugins/fresh-page/tools/debug.php
-comment out the contents of the function there (lines 10-33).

2. if you retry you get an error about not having certain folders, you have to manually create them and chmod them to 777:

fresh-page/files_flutter
fresh-page/modules
purifier_lib/
HTMLPurifier/DefinitionCache/Serializer/HTML

It appears to work, now i just have to work out how to use the plug in!

I have now worked this out, making some changes to the thickbox-pack.js

Hi,
my images are bigger than the slideshow so i want them to ‘shrink’ so they can be seen inside the slideshow, but also to stay in proportion.

What would the option be for that?

I just realised that i am getting a page with BOTH galleries in slideshow mode playing at once, i just hadn’t scrolled down and seen the bottom one!!

anyway, i still have a problem that i would like to have 2 galleries on one page and have the option to view them as slideshows separately.

any ideas?

well it crashed my server set up! Thats the only reason i started to look into it.
my host said “the server is being hammered “locally” as the requests are coming from (localhost ip) not from a remote location”

my stats say this:

I still can’t work out if that is actually what crashed my server! but its what shows up on the stats. I’m not sure if the ‘hits’ with 0 files are db calls? does anyone know?

i’m a bit stuck as to know what else to look at!
any tips?

I’ve been looking at other sites i run using installs, and the massive increase in hits on the
wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
file only happen once i installed version 2.5.1 and the file is not being called directly but always from:
wp-admin/post-new.php

so it appears to be WP calling it, not bots and not hack attempts.

Other people have listed a problem with this page being called by a constant ‘autosave’ of pages/posts being written.
I have installed the latest version cleanly (deleted old files & folders except wp-content and then uploaded newest) so i know thats not the problem.
I have now disabled the autosave feature off to see if that helps.
