Hi, sorry to jump in here on a closed topic, but I have a somewhat related issue.

I already had my posts section called /news/ when I setup the website, so that is the section where my blog posts will appear, as in mydomain.com/news/

However, Nooz redirects to this /news/ instead of /news-releases/ which is where I have the Nooz plugin installed.

How can I redirect this? I want the Nooz to not redirect to /news/ and instead redirect to /news-releases/

Also, I prefer not to post my url here for security reasons. If you wish to know it and see exactly what I am speaking of let me know how to send it privately, thanks!

Congrats you are able to self-diagnose and solve your issue. I wish I would have never installed this plugin as it totally screwed up my shop after I deleted it. And the support here is non-existant to say the least.

Awesome! Worked out for me perfectly!

Easy. Just install the “File Manager” plugin into WordPress.

Then drag and drop the Installer.php + Archive.zip into your WordPress.

Then go to yourdomain.com/installer.php in the browser and within minutes or less your site will be transferred.

Hi stefikos77, I specialize in WordPress On Google Cloud and my company is a Google Partner (for Google Cloud Platform).

I would recommend you just sign up for the GCP Free Trial (google it!) and then you will get $300 credit and 60 days to try it out for free.

According to info I have seen Google claims their CDN is better than Akamai, etc.

60 days should be plenty of time to learn this. If you get stuck go to StackOverFlow for quick answers. But with a Free Trial you get access to tech support (not the best) which will open a ticket and they will actually help you search for answers to getting setup.

I checked that FAQ yesterday, but thanks for pointing this out as I may have not checked it completely. I am updating my ticket with:

1) Htaccess
2) wp-config.php file snippet

Also, I am using Virtual Hosts even though Lets Encrypt does not support VHosts, but I am wondering if there could be an issue with that and the OverwriteAll in the http.conf file (I may have this written incorrectly).

Great News, I figured out how to install Duplicator on GCP Compute Engine. So I am excited about that!!! Now I can move at least 10 websites I have backed up using Duplicatior.

Only issue is after my first successful restore, the only page that works in the website is the home page. I get a 404 Not Found “The requested URL /register was not found on this server” page and none of the existing pages or posts come up.

I think either I did not do something correctly or skipped a step or permissions issues, etc. I am scratching my head now. But at least the home page works!!! Nothing else does, LOL!

Any ideas would be great. I am thinking its permalinks for sure…

I prefer not to go there for security reasons. All of my ID and accounts are linked in Google (Cloud Platform, Compute Engine ID, etc) so I do not wish to post there and be linked to any domains or accounts or IDs that can be used by hackers, etc.

I could maybe create another ID and use that there but I simply don’t want to expose this question to that audience right now.
