we just released an update ( version 9.0.15 ) which contains fixes for issues related to the WordPress language. One of them used to produce issues similar to yours issue. If your WordPress is not configured in English language please update your installation to version 9.0.15 and let us know if your problem has been solved.

we identified and solved an issue during “Getting Started” wizard which used to occurred when the WordPress installation was in another language than English. If that the case and you use another language please update your installation to version 9.0.15 and let us know if your problem has been solved.

the described functionality isn’t the expected. After the completion of “Getting started” wizard if everything goes right there must be more options under Live chat menu including also the settings page.
Please upload a screenshot of the “Getting started” page in order to help you further.

I’m sorry for the confusion, I was meant business hours. What I want to check is if the rest of the settings are being saved when changed in combination with business hours.

About the other issues I’m answering you below.

3. We no longer have an option to transfer or have another agent join the chat

This functionality is no longer available after Version 9.0.0.

4. we cannot send a link on our site to the customer chatting with us

There is no specific functionality to send a link to internal or external web page , you can copy and paste the required link and it will appear as hyperlink to your visitor.

5. in the chat history, all agents are labeled as “Admin” instead of their display name
6. Also — formatting in the chat window. there’s been a few messages where an apostrophe or quote didn’t show, but instead showed the html coding, for example, ” was showing up as ”

These are definitely issues that we will fix in the next few plugin’s updates.

plugin’s functionality appears completely broken in “Getting started” screenshot. Maybe there is some conflict with another plugin.

Please follow these steps:
1. Update WP-Live Chat by 3CX to the latest version 9.0.14.
2. Deactivate one by one the other plugins and check if WP-Live Chat by 3CX works properly.
3a. If our plugin doesn’t works, activate the last deactivated plugin and continue to the next.
3b. If you find which plugin is responsible for the conflict, let us know in order to fix the compatibility issue within our next update.

we have replicated an issue similar to yours issue which was permissions related. We have released a fix in version 9.0.14.
Please update to the latest version.
