Yes, they are still having the problem.
Thanks
We made a new form in the CC plugin and then used the shortcode on the homepage in a modal. Not having Hustle removes the duplicate library possibility I believe.
Thanks
Hello,
We went ahead and recreated the Hustle functionality via some custom coding and then just removed that plugin entirely. The problem persists though even with only the Constant Contact plugin installed. Everything else is completely updated.
What next?
Thanks much,
Philip
The client has provided a bit more detail now. They actually have a blast going out tomorrow. Please do subscribe and monitor/etc to see if we can figure out what is going on. They’ve also confirmed it’s happened several times already…
I can confirm that it happens every time we send an eblast. We send 1-3 a week and a couple of thousand are generated in the junk box of the info mailbox. I empty it nearly every day and there are over 1200 in there at the moment. By the end of each active week there are over 6,000.
I believe it’s happened multiple times already. I’ll ask them about a test or when the next mailing would be and let you know.
Thanks again.
They received 6,000 of them right when they sent the email. I believe that would rule out the timing coincidence possibility.
Yes to the popup being Hustle which the CC integration. There are other fields around the site like the footer you mentioned, also in some banners and on some pages, like https://exploreuptown.org/connect/newsletter-sign-up/.
I’m not sure what to do next. Any help is appreciated!
Hello,
Thanks for responding so quickly. The form is used in a popup on https://exploreuptown.org/. I could understand getting those notices when someone attempts to sign up. It doesn’t make sense though (does it?) that the plugin would even have anything to do with when a blast is sent.
Thanks!

Thanks so much ??
Enabling cURL resolved the issue. Thanks.
I’m still not seeing anything in the debug log via the plugin. The client did get a error email from WordPress though. Seems they don’t have cURL enabled. I’ve asked them to enable.

Best of luck to you!
Thanks Monoloid. That solved the problem for me as well. The issue IMHO is that the plugin isn’t cleaning up after itself. There are lots of these requests on this forum and they just want everyone to keep filling out contact forms instead of just giving us the answer here.
These are the specific steps I took…
Step 1: Make a backup of your database.
Step 2: Deactivate the plugin, answer/skip the annoying ‘why are you disabling the plugin’ survey and then delete the plugin.
Step 3: In phpMyAdmin query “SELECT * FROMwp_options
WHEREoption_name
LIKE ‘%monsterinsights%’ (assuming you haven’t changed the prefix).
Step 4: Delete all those records like the plugin should have done when deleted.
Step 5: Re-install the plugin and re-authenticate.You might have to have your developer help if you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable editing the database directly.

Sorry, nevermind. Just figured out it was the theme that was sending the emails.
Thanks
