Yes I understand that there was an issue with the Rank math FAQ block – I opened the page in my database table and removed the relevant code section to confirm it straight away. Rolling back to v1.0.214 fixed the issue.

I see that Sparks199 in the comment above me had the same error and they were directed to a beta release that fixed the issue. I will wait for the stable release of this fix before I try the update again.

Thanks for your input and assistance.

    Hi
    Thanks for your swift response.
Please find a log of the error here

I obviously rolled back straight away as I couldn’t leave the broken page – hence I didn’t enable debugging.

I noticed that a revised update has been published – but it only addresses an AI issue, so I won’t be updating again just yet.

    Thanks again.

    That’s great – thank you!

However, we are scared to apply the update as the previous one broke the booking system for customers – trying to past a certain stage i.e. date picker resulted in a blank screen with a 0 in top left corner.

Rolled back to 6.1 which works (without new custmer checkbox).
Can anyone confirm that the booking system is now operating as expected on 6.3.1?

    Thanks

Just for the record, our system too stopped working for customers making bookings.
They got as far as selecting assistant and date and then blank page was shown with 0 in top left corner.

Had to restore back to 6.1 to get things working again.

Can we confirm that this version 6.3.1 is now working as expected?

    Thanks

    Hi Jambena

Just thought I’d jump in in case it helps…
Have you tried clearing the browser cache, then logging into the back end again.
We came across this and that works for us ??

    Hope it helps – thanks.

worth noting that the booking system doesn’t work on a phone at all now due to the responsive stacking of the “assistants” and massive scrolling required.

just thought i’d mention that too

    Thanks again

In one video, I show desktop view and how blue booking/locking bar icons remain hidden behind bookings.

Also the fact that whilst the sticky bar works well – but only only when you have lined up the screen position and the booking window. There is a lot of scrolling to be done. This is on a 24″ screen.

On a laptop, it is unusable due to the “assistants” at the top stacking – you have to reduce the zoom to below 75% in browser to display properly – but this makes the text very small. And even more scrolling around.
What might fix things is an extra blank column at the end of the “assistants” so that the icons can display on the bookings bar? just a thought.

Also, the booking squares display the booking number which is irrelevant – this also stops the full name from displaying. The other information is good to see.

When you open the booking square, you can edit the booking but the other icons (bin and customer account? quick shortcuts) are inactive.

In addition, previous suggestions would be good to implement. When booking on a phone, a green successful booking number appears and an email is sent – but if they don’t scroll down and press complete, the booking is never made.

Passwords are also still an issue. If the wordpress default password system were used then it would be ok. Using the salon booking system password feature – our captcha integration doesn’t work.

It would also be a fantastic addition if we could right click a booking square and mark it somehow as “arrived”…even changing the colour of it would be very useful.

That’s just off the top of my head

Thanks for you continued work and effort

    Ok

Changing the z-index to 100 in wp-content/plugins/salon-booking-system/css/calendar.css line 993 seemed to do the trick, however, this now prioritises the blue bar over the booking squares – which won’t work…. obviously

Thanks again for the positive changes to the backend – I await a proper solution with anticipation

Ok…straight away there is an issue – even on Edge.
The blue bar for bookings/locking row remains behind the booking squares – this means that you can’t make a booking on a row or lock a row that is mostly full because the icons aren’t visible – so are unusable.

This needs to be fixed ASAP or we can’t manually make a booking from the calendar view.

    Thanks

    Sorry…I’m being too hasty.

It appears that the Firefox cache had to be manually cleared – it now displays as expected. ??

The new view looks excellent! Sticky top rows (as previously requaested) is so very welcome…I haven’t explored much further yet but this alone is worth some praise!

Thanks for listening and implementing this feature…I’m sure I’ll discover more as I explore.

Great plugin made even better – thanks for your efforts!

    Hi Voriand

    This isn’t a bug.
In our setup, we also use 15 minute booking slots – our last booking is at 7:45.
Our booking rule is 9.00am – 8.00pm. (you have to allow the last 15 minutes slot or there is “no time” for the booking to take place at 7:45)

This allows the last 15 minute time slot at 7:45 – 8.00 and no more bookings can take place after that.

    Hope that helps?

Thanks – sorry to interject…but that’s how a booking system works.

    Hi salonBooking

Thank you for your question asking for feedback.

I’m not entirely sure what you mean – but if you mean the details shown in the booking squares on the calendar view then we like it as it is – status and name works for us currently.

When you hover and more details are available, the booking time appears twice which isn’t necessary (once at the top with the name which you should keep…and at the bottom with the assistant which should go)

Again, as suggested previously, making the rows at the top sticky would make life a lot easier.

Something else that would help us in our situation would be to make “confirmed” the default status of a booking (in the drop down list). At the moment, pending payment is default and it can happen often when making a booking, you forget to change the status and the customer panics because they get an email with a payment button – when they have already paid.

We have now processed in excess of 7300 bookings so we are gaining much experience in the operation of the system

Thanks again for asking for feedback on this.

That’s great – thank you for listening.

I’ve posted a few other feature requests/observations that will help to make this plugin even better – I hope that you don’t mind…I understand the work involved but hopefully, you can see the benefits

Thanks again – looking forward to future updates

Sorry to hear that you have been facing the same issue mugofcoffee – thanks for contributing ??

Yes I’m sure that we can do something like that but it would be great if this was corrected – there shouldn’t even be a booking confirmation number before first confirming/completing the booking!

I hope the developer takes note of this – it has created so many problems for us. On phones especially, when the “complete” button hides off the screen at the bottom

    Thanks again

Any update on implementing strong passwords? Thanks
