Thank you, so if I understand correctly a browser never serve the old (browser) cached version without cheking for a new version first?
Thank you for your help. HJowever, the plugin was deactivated when I updated it. Still, WP-Optimkize did not purche the cache after the plugin update.
I have decided to continue using wp-rocket for the time being. Thanks for all the help so far!
No, the pages that are not cached do not have the same issue (with embed Google Maps)! In fact, the contact page with Google maps is one of the only pages thtat is cached everytime I check the source code.
I just visited einberg.nl and 5 of 12 pages are not cached by wp-optimize (no Cached by… text in source code).
Again, looking at my server maps and folders, these pages are in the list of cached pages (wp-content/cache/wpo).
After I visit a not cached page, close my browser (clear browser cache) and re-open the page, then it is cached (timestamp 1 minute before).
So something is wrong with the preload function of wp-optimize. It is creating a list on my server (wp-content/cache/wpo) with all pages, but then not all those pages are cached in the browser.
Thanks for your help, but I still don’t have an answer to my original question: why aren’t all pages cached?
I just checked my website and 5 out of 12 pages are now not cached by wp-optime! These 5 pages are in the list of cached pages in the server folders /wp-content/cache/wpo.
So what’s going on with the wp-optime plugin?
I first looked in the cache folders on the server: wp-content/cache/wpo-cache.
The page that is not cached is present in the list of cached pages in this server folder! When I open the folder with the page name, the uncached page appears to contain a folder called “embed”, containing 3 index files.
All other pages that are cached do not contain this folder “embed” in the page folder.
When I now click on “Preload” in WordPress plugin settings, I get the well-known message: An unexpected response has been received.
After I clicked preload for the 2nd time, the preload starts.
The “embed” folder has now disappeared from the page folder of the uncached page, and the page is now cached.
It seems that the problem is caused by the created “embed” folder in the page folder?

Hello Kowsar,
- Yes that’s what I mean; my cachespan is set to 10 hours and the preload schedule is set to same as cachelifespan.
- At this moment this page seems not be cached:
Nieuws Haus am Einberg – Haus am Einberg
But if you go to view that page, it may well be that the page has been cached. It is illogical and unpredictable at times. But every time I check each page of this website, 1 or 2 pages are not cached, even though those pages are included in the sitemap!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast not seeing Alt textSame problem here:
“Image Keyphrase: images on this page do not have alt attributes that reflect the topic of your text.” But on those pages I have Alt text including the focus keyphrase set on all the images!
Yes, permalink is enabked and de server is Apache
One more question:
Preload now/Run now: Last preload finished at 17:15, 10/03/2023
But when I look in my server logs I see that WPO only preloaded 3 pages. My site has 100+ pages. Should the scheduled preload not preloading all pages on the site?
Hello vupdraft, any update about the default Cache lifespan setting in WPO is set at 24 hours and not at 10 hours?
Deactivating Wordfence does net help.
When I press preload and then wait a few seconds and press it again, then the preload starts running and complete. This is the same with or without Wordfence activated.

One more question about the Cache lifespan setting. I read that it should be 10 hours by default:
WP-Optimize – FAQs (getwpo.com)
However, when I install WPO it is set at 24 hours by default? So did WPO change the default Cache lifespan setting with a reasson?
Because as I understand best practice would be to set it at 10 hours max because of the possible issues with nonces?
Hello vupdraft,
That’s great; thanks ??
