In reply to: [Virtue] Image Rotation IssueHello-
Ok as mentioned, as a complete beginner in building websites and having spent quite a bit of time taking on this new endeavor, I really need some clear answers regarding your direction to ‘Updating’ my website WHILE IT IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THE ‘NEWER’ Version of the Virtue Theme came out.
This copy/paste is from my WordPress Dashboard so understandably I am a bit concerned about doing the Theme update during the build.
PluginsYour plugins are all up to date.
Themes
The following themes have new versions available. Check the ones you want to update and then click “Update Themes”.
Please Note: Any customizations you have made to theme files will be lost. Please consider using child themes for modifications.

Virtue
You have version 2.5.4 installed. Update to 2.5.6.**I do NOT know how to make a Child Theme.
I just am learning how to do all of this from using WordPress, the Virtue Theme, what all of these acronyms mean, and building the actual site. I am not a techie at all.
I am really struggling with the 6 issues I have posted help for ‘separately’ in different ‘topic’ forums as per the protocol here on www.remarpro.com -so please let me know how or if there is a way I can easily step by step fix them in order to get this site nice looking enough to launch to my viewers.
Nice patient person who can help me do this in a timely manner is most appreciated ??

In reply to: [Virtue] Image Rotation IssueHi Andrew, I sent you the link to that Image Gallery page via email. Did you receive it? ??
On the back side-‘Dashboard’ in WordPress all of the images look perfect. perfectly oriented. perfect the way they are displayed. perfect in dimensions, pixels, etc.
It is ONLY on the side that everyone will see them on; the Viewing side that they are all turned in weird directions and in odd dimensions and pixelations.
So of course one would ‘assume’ that they would ‘appear’ the same way on the actual site.
Can you help me with this issue that started 4 days ago?
Thank you:-)Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Virtue] Several Photos 'Mysteriously' Changed their OrientationOh, forgot to say that several of the images mysteriously ‘rotated’ themselves into other positions; ie. lying on their sides or upside down, etc.
I did NOTHING to alter the Virtue Theme, WordPress, or any of the photos.
4 days ago they all looked great on both the Front side and the Dashboard side. Please help! ?? Thanks!
Hi, I too am using the Kadence Themes Free version of the ‘Virtue’ theme, am a total ‘beginner’, just used it to build my First ever website https://worshipthecoconuttree.org and had a few minor issues I will ask about in separate post.
*This post is regarding help with how to put the Author Name in the blog posts on the 2nd Website I am in the middle of building using the Free Virtue Theme.
The only ‘Options’ I see on the Dashboard are to Remove the Author and not show my name as the person who wrote the articles, OR use the name on the account that Bluehost gave me to use as my One Username to build ALL of my new websites with. This was super cool on the worshipthecoconuttree but on this 2nd website I wish it to say the name of that site and not worshipthecoconuttree as the Author of the post.
Can you please tell me how I can use a different Author name with each website I build using the Virtue theme?
**The 2nd website is not ‘live’ yet as I would like to work out these issues prior to releasing it.
Thank youForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: image rotation issuesI had this EXACT same issue just 3 days ago as well. I am using the Virtue Theme for building by 2nd website and like it so far. SO on this second website I had the pages complete with photos and they all looked great on the ‘viewing’ side and I’m just getting ready to launch the site and putting on the ‘finishing’ touches and now no matter what browser I ‘view’ the ‘front’ side of my website in as it is not ‘live’ yet, something happened ‘behind the scenes’ either with WordPress itself, or with the ‘Virtue Theme’, because now Several of my images have somehow ‘Rotated themselves into different positions’.
I have done nothing to alter anything in the Theme or with WordPress OR with any of those photos. The entire site looked great 3 days ago; ‘coincidentally’ the ‘same’ day you are writing your post as experiencing the same issue.
Can anyone help us by explaining a ‘fix’ in a simple, not too technical way?
Is this a ‘bug’? how can it be fixed easily?
This is really frustrating. ?? Thank you!
