Really sorry about this.
I have now released a new update (3.1.3) that should avoid this issue for users updating from versions before 3.1.2.
This bug fix should avoid the loss of options experienced by users who updated to v.3.1.2 but will not bring your options back if you have already updated to v.3.1.2.
If you were faced with the problem when updating to v.3.1.2, the solution is to take a note of your current options and then to reset the options and enter your own options again.
Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have been experiencing this issue with version 3.1, this should now be fixed with the latest one, version 3.1.1. Or at least it should be the case! If not, please tell me.
I had also noticed this problem in my recent tests. This was due to a mistake I had done in the rewriting of the install function that also takes care of the defaults when updating.Sorry about this.
This will be solved in an update before tomorrow. Had no time to do this yesterday (or today).Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Supersized] [Plugin: WP Supersized] Cannot get XML file to workContact me through my Contact form on my website with more details of your problem and I will try to help you.
Nice to see that you solved it this way.
You could also use the xml file to define your options differently on each page/post. Details are available in the FAQ and in the example xml file.
The upcoming update (v. 3.1) of the plugin will make it even easier to choose the source of images for each page/post independently. But options still will need to be chosen through a xml file if they need to be different on each page/post.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Supersized] [Plugin: WP Supersized] WP 3.41 WP supersized 3.02 no imagesI cannot reproduce this issue in my own tests (using IE 9).
Which version of IE are you using ?
A new update (v.3.1) of the plugin will be available very soon. Please post here any improvement/problem after trying with this new version.Weird. This has never been an issue.
Could you please be more precise in the description of the problem ?
Which option are you talking about ?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Supersized] [Plugin: WP Supersized] Adding slide specific icon linksWhy not use the thumbnail tray then ?
This is exactly what it meant to do: jump to another slide by clicking on its thumbnail.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Supersized] [Plugin: WP Supersized] url on image in xml file doesn't workSorry for this ! The “corresponding option” actually does not exist. I will change this line in the next update (coming very soon).
The only thing you need to do is to have a URL filled in. An empty value means no link.
The reason why your links do not work often has to do with one of the other layers of your page covering the background with. Make sure that your top layers do not have a background (even transparent) otherwise they will prevent clicking on the background.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Supersized] [Plugin: WP Supersized] "Another" doesn't workThe plugin gets the list of templates by calling the standard WP function get_page_templates(). I have no experience with Artisteer but it would look like the template generated by Artisteer is not compliant with the WP standards ?
Make sure that your template contains its name in the correct way, like this:<?php /* Template Name: name of you template */ ?>
Have a look here for examples of page templates.

In reply to: [WP Supersized] [Plugin: WP Supersized] Can't get any images displayedLooking at the source of your page, there is indeed no trace of WP Supersized (or NextGEN).
Is the plugin activated ?
Did you select a page/post to display the images (try Display -> Everywhere to check if this will work) ?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Supersized] [Plugin: WP Supersized] Same Slideshow for All Child Pages? You could either select All pages in the Display options panel of WP Supersized but I guess that is also not what you would want.
Another workaround is to list the page IDs in the same Display options panel. It would be faster than to set the slideshow manually on each page.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Supersized] [Plugin: WP Supersized] Background images on homepageYes, the plugin needs a hook to the header.
artem,
There is no arrow in the Single image mode but I forgot to make sure to remove them when using the Slideshow mode with only one image.
This will be solved in the next update.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Supersized] Implement WP Supersized plugin in custom themeThe plugin is adding its parts by using the standard WP procedures, looking for the hooks for the header and footer.
