In reply to: [WooCommerce] Flat Rate Shipping – No idea where to startI currently allow the plugin to “Enable the shipping calculator on the cart page” though not sure what to do in case someone orders
I have one shipping class set up for “orders under 1 pound”
Current plan is to add $5 for shipping to all locations in the US

In reply to: Weird characters in all postsYea I thought about that. I used to use Scrivener (mac) to edit all my posts. Now I use Desk… but it crashes a lot so I’m just going to use the WordPress dash exclusively at this point. Editing that many posts is hell.
Thanks and Happy Holidays.
Hi Matt!

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] s3 Service API: Access DeniedP. S. I am rather new to the whole AWS policy thing. I set this up so that the domain blog has access only to the bucket I set up for it and nothing else.
Is my policy too restrictive?
My apologies, this issue is solved, I found out that this was a script that I copied and pasted into my theme as part of the installation to get sharethis to work properly.
I simply removed it and now the caching and unwanted ad links are gone.
P. S. I also went searching in the tables to see if there were any leftover database tables that I could drop.
Thank you I believe it is working fine now. I did not have firewall on or configured from default prior to the issue. I am also using W3 Total cache in lieu of the caching that comes with Wordfence. Just letting you know in case you were wanting to know. Thanks again for your assistance!
P.S. I notice a couple of these IPs have moved to the “blocked from accessing the site ” altogether and that time frames seems really short. Less than 2 hours. Not sure where this is in my settings. Reason given is: login security settings
Maybe the “immediately block” option should be unchecked? Think I answered my own question here ?? If not, thanks for your response.
Well all I can say from the get go is OSSEC is a server side program and its _very hard_ to use. I don’t think the average wordpress user wants anything to do with it at all. Wordfence is much easier.
The primary reason I’m using OSSEC is to protect the server I’m running.
Anyways, thanks for your answer. I will make some adjustments on OSSEC side.
Ok great to know thanks!

In reply to: [Ozh' Admin Drop Down Menu] Menu Icons Missing – WP 3.9Even if your disable icon portion of the plugin, the server throws all these 404 errors. My server seems to think its worthy of a level 10 security mention
