In reply to: [WP Lightbox 2] Forces mobile device menu to appear…Here’s one on a site that’s in production, to which the plugin was just added:

Here’s one on a site that’s in development – clean install just a couple days ago, hardly anything in it:

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Complete backup not working…Well, I went and deleted out some stuff that we probably didn’t need anymore, and the backup worked. Must have just been too much stuff for it…

In reply to: [HighTide] Menu not showing…and stuffThanks Tomas…I am confused as to how the Appearance > Header bit actually targets that content frame (rather than what actually sits at the top of the screen), but that did indeed put my image in the content frame at full width.
I’ll play with the other stuff…thanks again.

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Complete backup not working…WP is 4.1.1.
PHP is 5.4.34
The plugin was one version back – just updated it.We recently did a wholesale change on the site content and theme…although the site had been WP before, and the plugin had been working as far as anyone knows – although to be honest, I don’t think anyone was paying attention before, and I only got involved to develop the new theme and such, so I don’t really know what was going on before.
Anyway, it’s been spinning on doing the manual backup for an hour now. Will check back later and see if it actually successfully completed, but I’m going to guess it’ll bomb out and only have the database backup in it as it has been doing…

In reply to: [HighTide] Menu not showing…and stuff…well, I found that switching the template for my “home” page from Landing Page (which is what I thought one would use for the Home page) to Full Width Without Title that it actually gets the menu.
But the comments widget still doesn’t show up, and I still can’t figure out how to make the picture fill the whole content area.
…and what is the Landing Page for if not for the home page?

In reply to: [Virtue] Strange…images don't render right on one page…You can use the theme columns for that, not sure why it wouldn’t work…
I might look at that Page Builder…the issue would be the concept of “rows” where the CD cover images in a left-hand column would be sure to line up with descriptions in a right-handcolumn…maybe that will do the trick.

In reply to: [Virtue] Strange…images don't render right on one page…Well, the reason I wanted to use a table was because I need a neat row that shows the disk image on the left and description on the right…I’m not sure how I could keep it all together like that using the columns (which I did use on other pages)…?

In reply to: [DarkElements] Can the main body transparency be adjusted?OK, well I found bits in the style.css that seem to take care of that…
…but one other strange thing I’ve noticed…in non-webkit Opera (like, original Opera – not ChromeOpera), the body background image seems to render on top of a Youtube video that’s embedded…whereas it doesn’t do that on any other browsers.
Which is really weird, since original Opera is typically the benchmark…having been the only browser ever to score 100% on the ACID test. It’s also therefore my personal preferred browser…any ideas what might be causing this theme to do that in Opera?

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Map covers event location fields in AdminI’ve seen it too…but you can just grab the map and move it around…which doesn’t work real well, but if you monkey with it a bit you can get it out of the way so you can use those fields.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] "Continue Reading" link doesn't work…and just now when I added another event, instead of the “Continue Reading” link going to the event-calendar page, it goes to calendar-2…which is a page that doesn’t exist in my list of pages…but somehow takes you to an autogenerated Calendar page anyway.
I can report that I see it frequently load just a few bits of the background, then leave the rest black.
Moving to other pages doesn’t reload or improve the background – but if I close Firefox and go right back in, the background will look perfect.
OK, I changed the permalink setting, and then the calendar started working again. Put the permalinks back the way I wanted them…still worked.
I’m not sure how the “calendar” page ever wound up there…I only ever wanted it on the Event Calendar page, where it’s used via shortcode.
Wound up using a plugin to hide the Calendar page, because I discovered that deleting it made the problem come back. So it’s still there…but just hidden.
Thanks for the help!
…here’s one other thing that seems strange about it…
If I access the calendar on my phone, it correctly shows the Agenda view instead of the Month view. Trying to switch to the Agenda view from the Month view on a PC gets the error…and likewise, trying to switch to a view other than Agenda on the phone gets the error.
The stuff is there. Otherwise it couldn’t show the Agenda on the phone for example. It just doesn’t know how to switch, or do anything else.
