@digitalapps thanks. I have also reached out to wp engine and I passed the ball to them. both environments should be an exact clone so everything should work. they are looking at it now and hopefully they find something. If they are stuck then I’ll have you look at the site. Thanks for the help!

@digitalapps yes we have tested this already and also even disabling wp rocket.

we also just went all out just now and placed the live site under maintenance mode and disabled all other plugins except wp swiper and woocommerce and also switched to the 2024 theme but slider is still not working https://i.imgur.com/B8JNZca.png

debug mode is on and also forced to load js on all pages, no errors on console and alos no debug output so it seems the frontend js is still not loaded https://i.imgur.com/XAzYIWy.png

also removed the slider and created a new one but still nothing https://i.imgur.com/BpXrEBq.png

also cleared all caches in the server. any other ideas on this? I cant think of anything else?

these sites are practically a clone. we have also tried disabling premium plugins that are not running on stg due to lack of license but still no slider.

all js files are already forced loaded including the frontend block js

@digitalapps just to add. we found that on live the popupally pro scripts are loaded before wpswiper tahts why thelocations of the scripts are on different lines. however we tried disabling popupally and also wp rocket but the slider still does not work. when you mentioned that wp-swiper cannot be found on page load we thought it was just wprocket trying to defer laoding stuff but now that is ruled out too. it is just unfortunate we cannot do a plugin conflict test since it only happens on live.

any more thoghts on this?

also besides testinga default theme have you also tested for plugin conflicts? you can do this by disabling all plugins except ours and woocommerce and also while on the Twenty Twenty-Four Theme.

if it works try enabling your plugins 1 by 1 until the issue comes up again, then that is your conflicting plugin.

the error should not be a factor since it is working on our test site. try using the wp staging plugin to clone your site and do the tests on the staging site. I’m sorry I know this seems a lot of work but we need to rule out plugin and theme conflicts and this will also help us find the cause of the issue.

about the error will look at this and update the code as necessary.

When I look at the source, it shows display none and disabled.

this is correct as you have to choose Other from the dropdown for it to be visible

can you pls send me a link to your site so I can have a look? if you have a test site it would be best to check for plugin conflicts.

@merlinsfab I suggest you setup a staging site so you can test there instead of testing on your live site. this way you can avoid breaking your live site. you can use a plugin like wp staging or similar.

@merlinsfab can you try switching to a default theme or storefront theme? also do you know if your site is cached?
