You can make any site have a fixed background with the right css. Heres what I do.

body {
    background: url("") no-repeat fixed center center / cover rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
}

Make sure you remember to put your background image url in between the (“”).

This should do it, assuming I understood you correctly.

    margin-top: -131px;
}

Without knowing what theme you are using, I can only guess that it would be: .author {display:none}

.main-navigation li {
    float: left;
    margin: 0 1.6em;
}

.main-navigation {
    width: 65%;
}
