I may have accidentally posted this in the wrong location. If so, please help me find the right place to ask the question.

WordPress says that e-mail is working correctly, but I’m not finding any records that they have been sent through Apache.

We have used a plug-in to route e-mail through Gmail and it now seems to be working. We are having problems now with login for the blogs.

I am posting this in a separate thread in the forum. Could you take a look at it and give recommendations?

    I got the confirmation e-mail.

The problem is with the one WordPress sends to a new user. I wanted to put some into the blog already and WordPress says it is sending them e-mails with their login information but those e-mails never arrive in their inboxes. I have checked this across several domains to rule out issues such a domain balking on mail from WordPress. The mail is never leaving my installation.

We created a .htaccess file in the /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs directory and put in the code on the setup.php page and saved it there. It did not affect the new blogs we created separate from the initial blog created by the WordPress multisite installation. The pages load, but the CSS doesn’t work. Could this be a permissions issue for the .htaccess file or did we put it in the wrong place? The path I listed is where WordPress lives in the Bitnami stack.

I have also noticed that there is mention of a .htaccess file that has to be modified. I haven’t been able to locate such a file in my directory. Is it something I need to create and add the code for .htaccess in order for it to work properly?

OK, I’ve switched subfolders on in the wp-config.php file by changing the Define Subdomain Install to define( ‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, false ); . I am now able to create multiple blogs within subfolders, but they are not loading the CSS properly. Is there another setting I need to modify to get them to work with the installed themes for WordPress?

Yes, I clicked the link to the author (Kai Loon) and I am taken to the website (themetation.com), but the support forum link there does not work. I have tried e-mailing directly via the kailoon.com website, but I haven’t heard back yet. I’ve gone over the main WordPress settings, but I’ve had no luck finding anything to make them appear. If I change to either of the WordPress default themes, everything works correctly. so I’m at a loss of what I should try to do. I feel that it is trying to display a page that has nothing on it instead of posts, but I have checked WordPress settings and made sure that the latest posts show up on the front page.

    I am running WP 2.9.1.
