In reply to: [Autoptimize] Trouble with fontsTHank you for all of your help here. I am trying to understand the best place to remove unnecessary css from the theme/plugins, including the font loading in the original request here. The ccss file that is generated is showing as 91% unused for many of the pages.
I have been trying to understand the process behind the ccss and where best to edit.
Would this be in:
1. Child theme
2. Main theme
3. Editing CCSS files. If I could have page-specific aggregated css files with the bloat removed then the percentage of unused/unnecessary fonts would be improved.
Or is all of this a bit of a waste of time? I am hoping that when Google implement their core web vitals, I may have a chance of gaining a march on the more established competitors in my market?
Any tips greatly appreciated.
Thanks

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Trouble with fontsI had been using Asset CleanUp plugin to remove some of the bloat in the Theme and Plugin. Have you had experience of this before and is it likely to cause issues?
If I use it to prevent the loading of some css then I assume I would have to delete the CCSS file and rebuild it? Or would clearing the Autoptimize cache just do the job?
Thanks

In reply to: [Autoptimize] CSS not loading when running backoffice import routineI have unchecked this setting and it seems OK:
‘Clear all cache files when a post or page is published or updated.’
Do you think leaving this empty will cause me any issues?

In reply to: [Autoptimize] CSS not loading when running backoffice import routineLooks like that’s the cause…
Any thoughts on how to prevent this happening, (short of turning off the WP Super Cache?

In reply to: [Autoptimize] CSS not loading when running backoffice import routinenot sure what to do here then – I suppose I have to troubleshoot all plugins?

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Trouble with fontsIt has now added the is_fornt_page template css to the CCSS although Pagespeed is still showing a shift in the homepage as the css is loaded. This is impacting my LCP and CLS?
Thanks

In reply to: [Autoptimize] CSS not loading when running backoffice import routineI have looked into this – it appears the AOCache folder is being deleted when AllImport runs. It also looks like the contents of the supercache folder are deleted, but the folder itself was not.
This looks like the code they use but it is above my knowledge level (ctrl f cache on this page)

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Trouble with fontsI have changed from 5 to 4 and I have deleted the 80 jobs and viewed the homepage anonymously.
I think this could be related to an earlier issue I raised that when I run an import it impacts the AO set up – (It stops the css file from showing casuing the site to lose styling when imports are running.)
