In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] Text Area Character LimitsI’ve been running into this recently as well. Customers enter data, but after an unknown number of characters they are cut off and they don’t know it.
Not sure what to do. A character limit indicator would be good, but unlimited or higher textarea box levels would be better.
Other than that issue this is an excellent plugin, but it is a big issue, and I might lose business when customers realize later that their orders were cut off and they didn’t know that was happening when they ordered.

In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] Auto fill in form fieldsThank you.
The reason I was asking is we’ve had several high volume users saying that common words in some of the categories that auto fill are slowing down the process of filling the form out and I thought perhaps I could alter that by stopping auto fill.
Sounds like its a browser side issue.

In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] Standard “subject” field questionUPDATE:
I made the change Mike mentioned above, and it worked.
I will mark this as resolved.
Thanks again.
Thank you MBR and Mike.
I think I need to submit this to support as it involves more than just the form but the settings as well.

In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] Standard “subject” field questionThank you, I missed that one. I saw email, and didn’t connect the subject with my issue.
I understand the old entries are locked, but this is good.

In reply to: [Contact Form DB] Placeholders added to DatabaseWell there is a section called “Field Modifiers” The first field is called “default”. You can type any text in there and it will appear in the field, and then on the same line after that there is a checkbox called “Default as placeholder”. Thus, whatever you type in the default text box will become the placeholder.
Thank you for your reply, Michael. I think I need to post this on FSCF, I did not realize the relationship between cfdb and the form, and as I learn more about how these plug ins interact I’ll be sure to share my positive results if they apply here in case it helps someone else, or maybe shortens their learning curve.

In reply to: [Contact Form DB] Placeholders added to DatabaseI have “default as placeholder” checked, and I have a sentence in the default field. I don’t see where a value can be set? It is a text area box.
I have looked at some of the documentation, but I don’t quite understand what value I would have to give the placeholder to have it be ignored as text data by CFDB, or where to put that value.

In reply to: [Contact Form DB] Is this still an active pluginYeah you know I’m a little hesitant to upgrade this, as I have never done it manually and I don’t want to screw it up. It’s a little unnerving thinking about a vulnerability, though.

In reply to: [Contact Form DB] Is this still an active pluginWow. What a mess. I hope they sort out this stuff. So I downloaded this plugin at the end of December 2016. I wonder if my version is vulnerable?

In reply to: [Contact Form DB] Is this still an active pluginI’m using it, I used it today.
I think sometimes the WP search function doesn’t work well. I’ve had trouble finding files on the WP plugin site before.

In reply to: [Simple Membership] error message while adding new membersAnother edit. A good one
I went in and deactivated several plugins that I was not using. I had recently downloaded WP-MAIL-SMTP, that may have been the one.
So I will mark this as resolved. Learned something. Check your plug ins for conflict FIRST before posting.
Thanks for posting this:

In reply to: [Simple Membership] error message while adding new membersUpdate:
I called my web provider. The only thing they found was that the version of php was “outdated” (it was 5.6), and so it was updated to php 7.0. They don’t do any coding there, so they have no idea what could be causing this.
Still, the same issue exists. Upon submit, the page spins and spins and won’t load for over 3 minutes, then it loads the above error.
I also wanted to note that when I go back into the membership list to change the new members from “pending” to “active” those changes are handled instantly, no error, no delay.
I hope someone has experienced this before. I don’t know what to do.
