In reply to: wp updated now home page won't openok, i had my host restore it to an older version of wp and that seemed to fix the home page issue. the links for the images were from an old domain i let expire so i redid the links and they now work too. all is good in the world. thanks everyone for your help.

In reply to: wp updated now home page won't openok. my host has restored my site back to wp 4.4.3 and my home page opens, but the images are broken actually only the jpg images are the png’s are fine. do i need to change the jpgs to something else. why would this happen all of a sudden? also , the problems seam to be related to wp 4.5. how do i stop it from automatically upgrading further?

In reply to: where are you wp support? My site is critical, though you may be correct that 1 hour won’t break me. it is a small business and my website in this day and age is my only real means of gaining new customers. the nature of my business is not repeat but new customers. I would not be using a purchased theme for self development if i could afford to have a professional doing my site. so i’m sure you can understand my frustration when through no fault of my own my site goes down and i find that i must rely on the time and generosity of others to help when i’m sure they have better things to do. having said that, i don’t know anything about web development so when i got no response i panicked a wee bit. the link is heathlansdownedesign.ca and the only msg i get is ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS. I have not changed a single thing on my site, i just upgraded wp and upgraded my plugins. I have turned off all plugins and reset the caches on my browser and i still get the same error. I can go directly to any other page on my site by entering the url, just not the home page. my thought is that it might be a corrupted theme on the server though it has worked flawlessly for over a year.

In reply to: heading html is causing the text to be all in capsi think i’m in over my head and wasting your time. i’ve tried 2 ccs plugins and they don’t make sense to me. the real simple one has no instructions. i copied and pasted the code you sent then clicked “update custom css” and nothing happens. didn’t ask where i want it or anything.
