I solved my issues after 4 hours of trawling through theme and plugins files, creating a staging site in exactly the same environment … guess what? Putting Cloudflare into dev mode and multiple cache dumps. eventually cleared my issues.

This has really frustrated me. If core files are changing this must be flagged to caching systems … problems like this are what kills peoples trust.

Having said all that, the update is great, and i really appreciate the effort put in, but javascript is not php … this needs to be addressed better.

In summary – others with this issue ensure all your caching systems are dumped…

Same. Works locally but not in production

Very similar issue here. All my sites which have the recent Security update associated to 5.4.2 – White screen directly after login if Surcuri plugin is running. If //rootURL/wp-admin is loaded in a browser the CMS can be accessed however.

Same here – this issue appears to be effecting several sites i manage. It also doesn’t appear that this problem is resolved?

My pages have disappeared from the Nested pages view – i think this was triggered by deleting the Nested pages created menu – the actual pages still exist in the Default view – but i can’t seem to get them back into the Nested view. brandons solution doesn’t work for me.

If i turn on the ‘Disable Menu Sync Completely’ i can see them in the Nested view … my issue is i now want to recreated the menu … so need it turned back off.

Anyone have a idea how to achieve this?

OK. I deleted the woocommerce data table (wp_woocommerce_termmeta), then updated woocommerce and updated the database which seems to have fixed the issue – not sure which of those things actually corrected the problem. Now i have a problem with my theme template files being out of sync with the woocommerce plugin … but seems less of a problem.

Yes 4.2.0 release didn’t hold new users back for approval on our instal, so we used the legacy version. We’ll test the 4.2.1 beta – that’d be great. In the meantime we’re still running the legacy version but with (3.69) which i guess is just breaking the function, so it falls back to BPress defaults … anyway it seems to work.

thanks very much for your reply. I’ve flipped my problem, making my desired widgets ‘defaults’ then deselecting them on the pages i don’t want them to appear which solved my problem.

FYI my homepage is set to a custom page, the ‘Posts’ blog-style page is a secondary page … by the sound of it the Widget Wrangler Menu item ‘Posts Page Widgets’ wouldn’t have worked.
