THNX. The newest version of KNEWS has a check of a score of the assassin spam filter. I use IsSendmail() and the score is good (below 0). I will make a shipment now and see if the opening rate is the same as with IsSMTP() (which I usually used).

i have the same problem, i use a MS Exchagne webserver and i can not make any wordpress smtp plugin work with it. so, how did you succeed? i tried WP Mail SMTP, but with no good results.

I am trying to send via my server and I get:

SMTP -> ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Connection timed out (110)SMTP connect() failed.

but I configured thsi STMP tens of times (especially on GMail) and it always. worked. In K-NEWS it does not.

I tried to send the PLAIN TEXT message, but I receive a test email that has HTML tags <p> anyway. I tried in few ways and I always have these tags or I get simply an HTML email.

In the Settings I see that I can specify the “From” address. If I specify an email within a domain where the WordPress is run, will it use this domain mail server to make a sending? I ask, because recepient’s mailboxes prefer to receive emails sent directly from the “original” mail server, not just a “gate”. Do you know what I mean?

the plain text message is much less risky in email world, f.e. less probable to go to SPAM or have broken display

is this question answered or not? I also need the PLAIN TEXT mailing, as HTML creates a lot problems with portal mailboxes (goest to spam folder, is being recognised as ‘dangerous’, etc).

ok. in the meantime I stopped using updraft plus plugin, so the problem is gone.
