I don’t know if you still have this problem, but if you have FTP/SSH/root/admin access, look at the permissions of the files and folders, you are probably not allwed to create new directories, or some permissions is wrong.

The permissions of the files of WordPress should mostly be “0644” for the files and “0755” for directories.

I have a script at work for embedding a youtube video on a page, and it will autoplay when you scroll to a certain point down the page (so it will start to play when you scroll down the page and the video is in your screen). It’s not exactly what you asked, but it might be easy to edit it and change the “trigger” to a mouseclick (can’t look into the file now, I’m not at work at the moment).
