hi, Liz. Yes. if I add a category description, the whole description appears along with the title which is very unsightly and space consuming. I’ve had to remove the descriptions which I worry affects SEO.

@lizkarkoski That would be amazing. Half my reason for choosing this theme is because its Automattic. The front page looks awesome. Will the theme be developed further?

1. I’m an activist dealing with serious matters. I would prefer a darker tone to the colouring. It wouldn’t have to change too much but the cheerful category boxes are too much. Shades of grey and white plus grey, black etc would help. And to make the background (not the text background) a bit darker would highlight the text box better.

2. I cannot get the social media links to work appropriately. Note that my facebook and rss remain a chain icon.

3. On the front page, a medium sized title conflicts too much with the picture. Is it possible to: Make header font slightly smaller, make box slightly longer and make fade 20% less harsh?

Turning off ‘Optimize JavaScript Code’ in Autoptimize allows shares to show on Chrome and Explorer PC.

Shares do not show on Chrome on my Android cellphone.

And the original problem remains, shares are not showing on Firefox, an ongoing and sometimes lengthy problem the past 2 years. The unknown reason may be different this time but maybe not.

Note this is about many websites i.e. not a theme problem, unlikely other plugin problem… so maybe Jetpack and Firefox having awkward sex.

Mystery deepens…

Whatever the original problem was, which wasn’t plugin conflict, is irrelevant since we can only deal with what’s happened after my Jetpack update yesterday.

There is now conflict with the plugin Autoptimize. That removes share visibility on Chrome.

Even stranger is that if i deactivate Aksimet, the Email share button vanishes.

Agatha Christie would’ve loved this ??

I can see on Chrome (despite having done nothing my side to fix it).

I cannot see on Firefox 59.0a1.

Not a theme conflict. Same problem on other websites.

So there’s two problems.

1.
No shares on Firefox, shares visible on Chrome.

2.
I upgrade jetpack today, after sharing my problem, and Chrome shares vanish too.

That’s with only Jetpack active. No other plugins although i will reactivate them now.

Extensions off too so ad block off. No luck ??

Is there anyone else who could confirm that they see or don’t see shares in Firefox?

Thanks for the speediness but are you sure you used Firefox? It doesn’t show for me with plugins and anti-virus programs disabled. It never worked with the latest Firefox so i switched to Firefox Nightly which is up to date but not a solution.

It’s not my site or on my hosting. Just trying to do a favour. For what i had access to, please note that my original message said:

“Deactivating plugins didn’t work.

Deleting cache never worked. Even replaced the Cache plugin.

Changing Theme didn’t work.”

I was hoping for others to have had the exact problem rather than try-many-things and-pray option ??

Another site mentioned Tiny MCE being the possible problem. The options could go on ??

You can also see that the Related Posts is not longer in one line of boxes, instead enlarged, one below each other.

Additionally, sharing icons have vanished.
