Really dont understand how with default permalinks the author works if you capitalise the A though. ??

I had to change the permalinks to get the custom posts type to work with the category pagination fix…

If I remove the category pagination fix and the %category%/%postname%/ custom permalinks, I get 404’s on both the author and category pagination.

Seriously, this really is driving me doolalley.

I’m happy to change it back to the default permalinks setting *if* I can get them both to work ??

So I either need to figure out how to get the pagination to work with the capitalisation on Author and something for the categories… OR figure out how to get the author pagination for the custom permalinks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. ??

Ok, I’ve found a workaround – this is not a fix, but it will resolve the issue…

There is a plugin called: Custom Post Type Pagination Fix

Install this, active it, and then go to your permalinks settings and set your permalinks to custom: %category%/%postname%

Save, then go see if it works…

NB: I have removed the older / newer links from the template and also installed a pagination plugin (I can post this too if you need it, but I dont have it with me atm because its setup at work on a local pc).

I’m having the same problem, along with pagination for authors.

I am getting the older posts with author giving me: https://xxxxxxxxx/wordpress/?author=1&paged=2

But if you change it to an uppercase Author:
https://xxxxxxxxx/wordpress/?Author=1&paged=2

It works.

Ok, so I thought that Countdown timer was a count down of time left to vote..

I have figured out that I should be using date limited, and its working now.
