In reply to: Upgrading to 2.6 was a mistakeRegarding the Plugins, I found WP insisted someone with my name was already using my API – the solution was to remind WP, at the bottom of the Activation page, which Domain we were dealing with and it said’ “Oh You!” Then it allowed the Plugins to properly activate again.
You may have seen though, elsewhere in the forum, I have my own hassles with 2.6 (hates meh) Blog wurx fine but says it’s not 2.6

In reply to: Won’t Fully Upgrade to 2.6Yeh thanks Gangleri
My Restore worked, so the Blog is fine.
Now all I need is about six hours to upload each folder-full of files.
I do have ftp-transport and net-transport but I only ever worked out how to USE Net-Transport. This could be a good occasion to find out how to use something I spent money to get!! ??
I don’t suppose you have any ideas? Perhaps I should looksee if there is a help or readme! hehWhen I earlier tried uploading the files manually I ended up with the same fatal error message. There are just so many files I figured that was why the guy who developed the Automatic-Upgrade laughingly suggested people who liked it might wanna send cash!
I mean, in theory it should only save at least a day’s work!
You are no doubt right. I will probably painstakingly upload folder by folder all the files.
Thanks for your help. It’s kinda nice to know there are still people out there with the time to help.

In reply to: Won’t Fully Upgrade to 2.6WP root folder ! hmmmmm don’t tell me . . .
I’m assuming this is the folder with the wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes folders in it – PLUS about twenty files including index, readme and license.
I’ll upload them again – excluding wp-config.php which incidentally I manually upgraded, as directed, to include the secret key.
Perhaps I simply missed something when I did the manual update first of those twenty or so files.
Many Thanks !
Even more so if it works! ??

That wasn’t helpfull Gangleri –
Some of us ARE the host and we use WP as a tool.Trenz: In mine I briefly had a similar situation with upgrading. I suddenly had a version of my domain under /public_html plus a version under /domains, with both the /public_html and /domains folders in the same home directory.
I ended up deleting the /public_html folder in that directory because it came up, as stated above, under /domains/ourblog.com/public_html complete with the usual directories containing wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes.
Perhaps if you can create your new domain (somehow) under /domains, such as /domains/ourfirstblog.com and /domains/oursecondblog.com , that would do it. I actually would have expected that to happen during what you said you did but /domains did not even appear in my original version of WP and it may not have been in yours.
I just noticed that it was there at some point and the other day I realised it was essentially a duplicate of my existing wp-folders/files. I deleted the directory /public_html which was parallel with /domains and found that left the version under /domains/ourblog.com/public_html intact.
Hope my words and ideas don’t send you down a wrong path.
Perhaps Gangleri, an obvious wiz, can now see your problem at OUR level of expertise.
