All I can tell you is that the calendar renders correctly in Firefox .8 and IE6. If you deactivate the hack do the proper number of posts appear?

You can create a class like this:
.textbox {
border-style: none;
background: transparent;
}
And then set the class in your form:
< input name=”test” value=”” type=”text” size=”14″ class=”textbox” >
